National spelling bee!!LMAO

I've never understood the point of the spelling bee. Most of those kids, although smart as hell, probably won't be much in life because I would guess they have no life skills or people skills. I went to a private high school and there were a lot of people like this, many of them foreign. Although their grades and SAT scores, etc... were awesome, they were incapable of an interesting conversation and couldn't survive in a job or situation where the majority of the work was client related or group focused. They'd make good engineers, or some similar field, but I just don't see them being capable of investment banking, consulting, or something like a corporate exec. Maybe I'm wrong, and there are exceptions of course, but for the most part the whole spelling bee is stupid to me.

I just cant believe they bumped PTI for some stupid spelling
bee!!!...

ESPN is good stuff ... there are only a handful of ESPN-2 shows I like. Hell I'd rather watch ESPN classics than ESPN-2.

Yeah, PTI is fun to watch .... the best time of year for ESPN is from August-January... Baseball postseason,NFL, and college football ... it gets me through winter depression lol!!! Sunday Night Football ... NFL primetime ... gotta love seeing boomer all pumped up for football. :D

You guys actually think that a kid passing out from pressure is funny????? I thought that shit was sad......

i agree bro. Many things are inherantly funny at first glimpse, sometimes due to sheer absurdity, however the truth is that a cheap laugh should never come at the expense of a child. I will certainly laugh my ass off at some fool on COPS or Americas Dumbest Criminals who would, for example, steal something from a store and run outside and get hit by an oncoming bus or fall down the stairs leading outside and break his leg, but wouldnt laugh at a child who is so distraught with pressure that he faints. Everybody definitely has their own opinions and rightfully so, but its not very humorous in my eyes. If it was my son, I would not be laughing at him...so why laugh? Because he is someone else's son? :( Dont get me wrong, I hate to sound like a preachy ass, but I am having a little girl very soon and am nervous as all hell. Just want to be the best damn dad out there, so I guess I am trying to mature quickly before her arrival. Nevermind me bros lol, I am on a rant. Have been in the lab today for nearly 16 hours straight

I didn't get to see the clip but a radio station I was listening to said it was stage by him and his brother in case he didn't know the answer. They said his brother could be seen telling him the answer while he layed there then he jumped up quickly and answered.

Shit bro my girl is a big time engineer *** grad, she's so smart it will make your head spin. Her projects are classified and I have no idea what she even does,. She's also a go getter, competitive athlete, and HOT HOT HOT. It's a bit of a generalization to classify the smart ones as people who can't do certain jobs, or hang out in certain circles. She's a prime example. Try selling ballistic missles to the government if you don't have confidence in your self, or know your shit.

BUT 90% of the guys she works with are skinny guys with highwater pleated pants and tucked in polos. Have yet to see the pocket protectors though... :D
