Natty gains when bulking

Curious: how much do you expect to gain when you're bulking naturally? Say @500 calorie surplus... I understand gains differ at different points in your training so could u clarify how long you've been lifting as well. My weight, and size gain has recently slowed and I don't know if I miscalculated my TDEE and just need more clean calories or if my body is just adapting to the stresses of my workouts or what. I'm 24, about the biggest I've ever been at 180lbs, started @160 5 months ago. Eating 3k-3.5k clean calories, could def be better about logging macros but I'm on top of protien intake @180-200g daily. Idk about body fat, around 15% I guess, upper and lower body striations but got some fat on stomach and loves. I do a pull/legs/push/rest routine based around compound lifts. I like to stay in the 3-6 rep range with about 20 sets workout. So how do y'all natty gain on bulk and what can I do to keep gains comin? Thx meso community

You can still have a long way to go if you have only been lifting 5 months naturally. You are at the point now where your gains are starting to slow down. So you will not be able to add mass as fast as you did the first five months but you can still do it, you just need to patient. Focusing on compounds and low reps is a good plan for mass. What you need to focus on is progressively increasing the weights you are using if you want to gain mass as fast as possible. As the weights you are using increases you body will add mass.. So look into adding weight to the bar on all of your major lifts every week. When you can't add anymore de-load on the exercise you stall on, that is how you break through plateaus.
 
Yea I've been 'into' lifting for years but progress has got interrupted by car accidents and incarceration so I've only been back at it recently. Thanks for the input, I train for strength so I'm always lifting 80-90% but I could do better about logging and tracking weight progression
 
You can switch to a cut diet for a little while....run a lean and mean for 6 weeks or so. Then go on a big clean bulk and eat not drink your protein. Eat more than you think is humanly possible of good clean food. Work out like a mad man.
 
Just focus on your bulk although I think you might be a bit too high on bf% to continue on the bulk considering you are at warning track levels.

I'm surprised you didn't work out when you were locked up... I went hard as fuck when I was in the joint, nothing else to do in there.... I came out huge with very low body fat, and sleeved up.... Yah true dat DP, just make sure you keep it clean you def don't want to gain more fat than muscle... Especially since your going natty...

You could cut off my limbs and pawn them for as much money I'm in already......

I know man, I got two tats on the streets and those two cost way more than all the ones I got in prison.. And they are not big pieces at all... And the ones I got in there are way, way better....

Shit you can get everything done for zu-zu's, wham-whams an instant coffee lol. Ya man I peaked last summer close to 190 natty when I was actually behind the fence but I ended up transferred to another facility where I swear I was gettin 600 calorie meals and stayed locked down most of the time. Stayed fit but dropped alll mah weight. Was wantin to run a basic test cycle... Pls dnt flame for not being at natural potential... But i dunno if my bf% is too high - been told get to 10-12% before u start? By lookin at google I'm about 15... So watsup

I always got it in even when I was in the hole... You get an hour in the workout cage and they have a pull up bar in there and one of those ab wheels.. In the processing center you are locked down most of the day, you only get out for meals but you also get to get to go to the yard 5 days a week for two hours... That was enough for me till I got to my parent institution, but I never did anything in my cell, going to the yard to use the pull up and dip bars 5 days a week is all I ever needed... Yeah I don't how many calories I was getting with my trays but I always ate as much as I could when I was in the chow hall and I got those carnation breakfast essentials(kind of like protein shakes) and I also ate a break every night with tuna fish in it.. It was enough food for me to get built up pretty nice before I got out. I was around 205 when I got out with a 6 pack...
