natural test production in mgs daily?

i have read a healthy male produces 4-7mg of endogenous testosterone daily.i have also seen it between 2.5mg-11mg daily.
which would you feel is the more accurate amount?

in your recipe for trt you recommend the initial application of 5grams of androgel supplying 5mg of test every 24 hours, with daily application.this may be increased to 7.5grams or 10 grams daily if required.
the andropatch is again initially suggested at 5mg patch per day with a readjustment to 7.5 mg daily.
i assumed at these dosages 5 mg daily was to replace that same amount the body would naturally produce, if the patient was hypogonadic.
the fact it is testosterone replacement & exogenous test would suppress the hpta of what testosterone the testes were producing would mean replacing the testosterone production to normal levels i assumed that a healthy male would naturally produce approx 5mg of test in a day.

It would be very rare for me to prescribe 10gms of Androgel per day. Usually by then we have switched to test cyp.

I think you are under the impression that hypogonadal men produce no testosterone at all. Rather, TRT is meant to supplement deficient endogenous production, not ALL of it.

natural test prod in mgs daily?

quote from recipe for trt:-
"So now lets say we have the patient in a state where Total Testosterone is in the upper quartile of normal range, Bioavailable Testosterone is nicely elevated, with E2 safely in check. At this point I offer the patient my HCG protocol. I add in 250-500IU of HCG, on day five, and day six of the week, for those who use the IM injection. In other words, the two days prior to their shot. For those using a transdermal delivery system, every third day. For the IM patients, this compensates for the drop off in serum androgen levels by the half-life of the test cyp. But the main reason is to stave off atrophy of the testicles, by directly stimulating them with the LH analog.
Patients all report they feel dramatically better once the HCG regimen is initiated (and they were properly tuned up on testosterone before they started it). HCG, as a LH analog, increases the activity of the P450 SCC enzyme, which converts CHOL to pregnenolone. Thus all three hormonal pathways are stimulated in patients who may be either entirely, or very nearly, HPTA suppressed. It is my belief this may be a factor in the heightened sense of well-being my patients report throughout the weekfar in excess of what a minimal dose of HCG would produce by virtue of induced testosterone production."

surely if the hpta is TOTALLY SUPPRESSED the only testosterone produced is in the adrenal gland.therefore testosterone will have to be totally supplemented daily by trt treatment to get the individuals test into normal range.
in the case of a castrated male what therefore would be the difference between the dosage of trt required.surely if 5mg of androgel/day is recommended to supplement a patient to get them in normal range even though they are producing a small amount of endogenous testosterone a castrated male would require a larger dosage.which brings me back to my original question.what is the average daily dose of test a healthy man produces naturally?
if 5mg/androgel providing 5mg/24 hours is used in a hypogonadal male would a castrated male need say 10 grams daily of androgel?

There is no way to predict up front. The body just does not work that way.

BTW, the only TOTALLY SUPPRESSED individuals are castrate.
