ill chim in here... as abs were tough for me and im still working on them...
It seems all the years of partying when i was younger did a killing on my lower ab fat...
but anyways... here is the deal... that has worked for me...
from your pic, it doesnt look like you have to much muscles "size" on your abs..
You need to build the muscles up more...
This kind of scared me as well because I didnt want to get my mid section BIGGER.. i just wanted to shed fat to expose them...
But you cant "expose" them if the muscles arent there...
What i started to do was weighted movements to tear the muscles and build them up... the key is to get the muscle, then you can cut up to expose them...
Here is the routine i did...
Decline cruches 3x25
Hanging Leg Lifts 3x12
Cable Crunches 3x12 (go heavy and get a good stretch at top)
Plate Side bends 3x15
I did this routine once a week, then after about 4 weeks or so I added another ab routine to my week that was just body weight orientated..
SuperSet (complete each exercise below for 1 set) do 3 sets
Double Crunch (25 reps)
Straight leg raises (15 reps)
Figure 8's (20) - lay on back, hands behind lower back, feet together, move feet from side to side making a figure 8
Side Crunches (20 reps each side)
Now i know you said your on a cut cycle but you need to build up your ab muscles just like any other muscle on your body, then you can cut up to expose them...
