Neewbiest's first cycle log

No gym today. My lady and little one are sick and didn't really get any sleep last night. I usually get up around 4:30-5:00am to head out but didn't actually get to bed till around 1:00am. I got up around 4:00am and was beat. Plus I took the little one down stairs around 7am or so to let the wife sleep in till around 10:30. Could probably use the extra day of rest anyway lol. Back at it tomorrow though.

Back days are heavy!

Remember how I said listen to your body? It applies here too. I get a little fatigued reading your work outs. I think a week's rest after the cycle sounds good. ;)

How is the diet still working? You should be getting very minimal fat,

I don't really get any because I have managed to balance my macros properly, it takes a couple years to learn and I eat totally different on cycle than regularly.

Yeah I did gain more fat than I wanted. I need to pick up a new pair of calipers to find out where I'm at. I am however going to have no problem hitting the 190lbs mark in two weeks from now. I still have some work to do to continue to learn how to dial in macros to get the highest efficiency I can when building muscle instead of storing fat.

Today was arm day with a little cardio on the stair stepper. Weight this morning after workout 188lbs.

If you can't make the 190 try not to force it. I am glad to hear you have been having some good days.

Don't make this a terrible thing, you want to get gains yes. But don't sacrifice too much pleasure for results.

Yeah I get it. Not trying to force it. Besides I suspect in another week and a half once I'm finished with my cycle I'll probably lose a few lbs anyway. To be honest I've never gotten this far trying to put on lbs of muscle. Not sure if I should do a mini cut and try to dump a couple lbs of fat I put on, or wait 8 weeks do blood work and if everything looks good do another bulk cycle? I'll be cruising anyway with my TRT dose so I won't be doing PCT.

Back day today with some lower back strengthening and rehab for the arthritis. Only about a week and half left in this cycle. I've enjoyed it thus far, especially with the strength gains. I was pretty scrawny @156lbs when I started bulking in July. When I started this cycle was right around the 168lbs mark. If all goes according to plan, I'll be sitting right around the 190lbs mark, but if not I'll be Damn close. That'll be about 22lbs put on, on my first cycle. Weight this morning sitting at 187.2lbs.

That is impressive if I ever heard it! 156-> 190 in 6 months.

Your results from this first cycle are great already even if you would stop now. Keep in mind that you will lose 5-10 lbs during PCT, that's glycogen stores that leave the muscles. But gaining 12-17 pounds is insane! Imagine if you could do that every YEAR!

No man I very stoked at how far I've come! I realize that Rome wasn't built in a day. I have long way to go to where I wanna be to get to look like some of the shredded guys around here. I started Last year in November at over 210lbs, I was fat! lol. I did a natty cut to 156lbs and didn't want to get any smaller just for the sake of abs so decide I'd start on a slow controlled bulk. This is my first time ever trying to put on some size so it's definitely been a learning curve. I'll post some progress pics when I'm done Werth this cycle but I only have one from 156lbs. Wishing I would have taken one when I was over 210lbs, my face was even fat! I did put on more fat than I wanted but to be expected I guess. The strength gains I've made have definitely been motivating. I could barely put up 95lbs for 8 reps last Nov. and I can now put up 200lbs for reps which makes me happy. I know it's not what most guys around here can put up but for me its been a hell of an improvement and I'm headed in the right direction. I'm am going to be at a crossroads of sorts when I'm done with this cycle, because I've never actually made it this far. Not sure if I should keep bulking of do a small cut to try and do some fat? I'll be on my TRT dose from my endo so I won't be doing a PCT. Gotta figure out which direction to head next.

Okay, this was the post I needed to hear!

Keep going for a little bit until you really "notice" your gains slowing. You need to learn your body and how it works. It will take years. It is incredibly good that you gained some fat this cycle, because you will be able to learn how to properly manage macros now.

You will not be one of those guys that eats way too little on cycle. There are tons of guys that never learn how much to eat and they minimize their gains greatly because of it.

I don't know if you cook but salt really enhances flavors, I am always scared to add more salt because I don't want to ruin the food. So instead I get a mental block and I never salt enough because I am scared of the food getting "ruined."

Same principle with managing macros on cycle. So many guys "salt" too little. :)
It was good that you established this in your first cycle.

I am really proud of you, you have done an amazing job man. I didn't do as well on my first cycle and I didn't have a kid or a wife/GF.

I'll probably just keep Neewbiest Guy cause there's always something that I can learn from the guys on this board! I'm not gonna pretend that I know what the hell I'm doing after just one cycle.

Today's was arms and some Cardio to finish it off. Weight gain had slow and I'm fluctuating between 185 and 188 for the last week and a half. Gonna see where I'm an in a couple of more days and then increase calories if it's still stagnant.

It sounds like it is about done.
Are you getting an instinctual feeling almost? That's kind of how I would describe it...

When you stop the hormones you will get less neurotransmitters in your brain that make you happy. So if you start feeling really down or suicidal or something for NO reason. That's your hormones messing with your head. It's just that, and it will pass. Just an FYI, so don't freak out.

Well I can tell the weight gains have obviously slowed just from the scale. I have managed to increase some lifts the last two weeks though. I only have a week left and 3 injections so I'll just finish the week out. I've also read that there can be some possible mind games post cycle but I think I can handle it. Guess I'm going to find out anyway lol!

If you are still increasing your lifts that is a good thing. Strength comes from muscles!

Yep still increasing lifts at the moment! Had a good heavy back day this morning and increased a couple of the lifts by either weight or reps. Also pretty stoked as after my w/o this morning I stepped on the scale and crossed the 190.4lbs mark! I'm sure it'll will still fluctuate but I hit the goal I set. Now my next question is, do I try and maintain for 8 weeks or so and then do a small cut, or start cutting after next week to drop some of the fat that I put on? My ab definition is no longer there. I wanna keep getting bigger but I don't want to put on more fat and have another long cut to drop it.
