On the other hand, you have keyboard warriors who are "well known", have relatively little time here, thousands and thousands of posts and provide little to no benefit to anyone but their own egos. IGNORE is a function that works relatively well for theses keyboard warriors, but you still have to deal with their incessant use of thumbs up and down.

Then you have people like Readalot and Ghoul who do actually have the ability to provide relevant information at times, but their egos and/or belief that everyone must comply or do what THEY want becomes abusive (not so much with Ghoul). I would so much want to view Readalot in a positive light, but the message got lost long ago when he lost his shit. If he didn't feel the need to fight EVERY battle, he would likely be successful at winning the war. I would definitely be willing to help him fight it.

Instead, here I am calling him Bubbleboy and unfortunately stooping to level of those PITA bunch of "well known" members who provide zero benefit to this forum.

Of course, in the absence of such top-down control of participation, individuals/groups often try to fill the void, exert control, and turn MESO into a source forum using whatever means they have available to them to pick and choose who can participate (and whose customers can participate).
