okay.. go to start/run type msconfig

Go to the start up tab.. uncheck backweb, compan-1 cpqeaui bhnserv, mwsvm, watchdog... then re boot... this will help keep you from locking up..chances are the biggest problems your having is from spyware..

do you have adaware?

It means you have an inconsistant disc,,,DUH

Run the scan disc.

No, not the one with the blue window,,, my computer-right click on C drive-click tools- and run the basic scan disc not the advanced,, besure and check the fix errors box. It doesnt take to long,,, and might help,, maybe not. I dont know.......

ahhh, ok i'll try that. the other one just always came up when my comp restarted, before windows booted, it was a big blue screen that said disc c needs to be checked for consistency because of FAT32 or something. beats me
