Hey guys,

New here (actually been a member since 2016 but rarely post, i browse a lot though), I will say this place is friendly and FILLED with information.

Age : 23
Height 5"9
Weight : 177
BF % : Probably around 19 - 22 %
Goals : Lean out to around 8 - 10 %, then lean bulk. I am thinking if i can get around 145 - 155lb I will be around my desired BF %. Then I want to lean bulk up to around 200 lb. Then cut if necessary.

Training : On and off for 6 years. Originally started lifting at high school when I weighed 120 lb. Did traditional bodybuilding routine, ate in a surplus (didn't track macros). I just kept bulking and bulking, at one point I should have realized that I was putting on too much fat, but I didn't care at that time.

I don't like the idea of going up and down on weight. Imo is a loss of time. You can lose fat while gaining muscle with a low fat diet. How hard you want it and how determined you are to achieve your goals?

Essentially a recomp? I am open to all ideas and suggestions. I am very motivated to get there.

I don't understand why you would want to cut 20-30lbs, gain 50lbs, then cut again. Like ecpert said. You can burn fat while gaining muscle.

Makes sense, I am open to any suggestions you have.
If you want to get bigger and lean out at the same time just lift and dial in your diet til you see changes you like

If you want to cut and get defined I would suggest more cardio and lighter work outs.

My 2 cents
