Hello everyone, as the title says I am a new member. I am hoping with a little background of myself and situation, I can get some welcoming advice.
I turned 40 not too long ago, and have been having problems for maybe 5 years.
1. Little energy lethargic
2. No libido
3. Sense of confusion at times
4. Lack of sleep
5. Hot flashes
6. Gained 40 lbs.
7 ED etc.
I went to a Dr. (family doc) to test my testosterone levels. He said my testosterone was fine it tested upper 200's. I knew something was wrong and got a second opinion. Went to a endo, he tested my levels and this time it read 392. He put me on HRT pellets. Given that it took about 8 days to feel the effects, I felt great. It's been nearing the 2nd month and I feel back to where I started. The Dr. has said that he doesn't do injections. Like being said between doing tests and 1 treatment, I have spent near $1,000 so far. My wife has lost patience with me and doesn't seem to understand that I have an issue.
I am truely desperate, so much that I almost sent $300 to some stranger on Telegram by word of mouth from someone who messaged me on reddit. (Don't worry, I didn't follow through.)
I luckily found this forum and have the hope of this community to steer me in the right direction.
My plan is to do it myself, my ultimate goal is to be back to when I was young and have sex 3 to 4 times a day and feel great again. I eventually want to bump it up lose weight and get back in shape. I have already started eating healthier and plan on working out y going to the gym. I just don't have the sources to start as me being an introvert and am all new to this. I am open to all advice.
Thank you for taking the time out to read this
I am not a Dr but from my experience I think the following would be what I would do in your situation with my own knowledge of 10+ years. I think their will be a few people who agree with this, but I am open to anyone who opposes this. This is just my logical opinion and again open to a differing opinion. (Only people who will respectfully and maturely oppose though, none of these idiots who just start gobbing off.)
I would look to get test Cypionate - the longest lasting test and jab 150-200mgs once per week. 200mgs is just slightly above the TRT dose. Also, Viagra is a god send!
Very small amounts of an anti oestrogen every other day or every 3rd day. However, if you are not getting the desired result, I would slowly lower the amount of anti oestrogen until you get the desired result. As the anti-e being too high can stop sex drive etc. So maybe half the tabs or even quarter them.
If you are worried about hair I would consider either Finasteride or if you're extra sensitive to hair loss Dutasteride. However, these can lower your libido and erection quality, but it's 99.9% of the time reversible once you stop taking it, usually the test overrides this so you should be fine. I have no issues at all. If you are bald already don't even consider these.
Basically, play about with the anti-e and hair loss products until you find the desired result. However, it can take a week or two to get libido increase if you are taking too much anti-e, it doesn't just change over night. Patience is the way foreword.
If the first test you buy doesn't work maybe try another brand as they are all under dosed apart from legit TRT from the Drs. Always get your bloods done every 6 moths if possible. I live in the UK so everything is covered under the NHS even the TRT. I can get bloods done whenever I want for free.
I would strongly consider watching 'More Plates More Dates' on YouTube, he is a Canadian genius and is probably more qualified than most Drs about everything to do with hormones and steroids.
Oh and if you're under eating this can have a neggy response to sex drive. Good quality diet is key, but I for some reason get harder erections when I eat a big meal or loads of carbs. Stress is also a massive factor.
Good luck and let me know if anything works and if anything has improved.
