At 33 years of age, your just past your prime. Your testosterone levels should be sufficient for you to train very solid, at least 3-5 days per week. I agree with the other members, once you reach a certain peak performance point, you're ready.
For me, I didn't start hormonal replacement therapy until i was 42. I now feel like I'm in my early 30s in terms of workout recovery time, energy levels, and overall results from working out.
Just start and commit to a workout and diet regimen and by week 3 you will be well on your way.
