I've been lift for years and been wanting to go to the next level with my lifts I'm looking for any info I can get thanks in advance

Just looking to get stronger every time I start to get around 400 squat and 500 deadlift I end up resetting or hurting myself I had shoulder surgery a little over a year ago and just trying work my way back safely

I would also strongly advise you locate a spotter to wo with, but especially on "heavy lift days". Another techniques I've discovered is quite useful is the use of video during compound lifts.

It's AMAZING how easily those who think they have near perfect form, are convinced a MAJOR factor that contributes to injury and their stagnant lifting totals is poor body mechanics or technique!

I say this KNOWING all to well the majority of shoulder injuries in particular, might could have been avoided if a spotter was present and/or body mechanics were optimized, and there should be no doubt the combination is equally complimentary

Welcome to Meso. Here is an idea, don't go so heavy. I'm not being a smart ass, I'm serious. So many ppl feel obligated to lift a certain weight. Lighten things up, and use proper technique, and more reps. There's my 2cents. Good luck
Ok thank you I'll take all the advice I can
