Little intro for those who dont know me. Im 55 been training in the gym since i was 21.
When i first walked into a gym it was for post surgery knee rehab. I weighed 61kg at 5 foot 9. My gym was in the very poor suburbs and most guys there were my age and hardly any bigger. The big dude of the gym God as he was known was the only one who could bench a plate each side. 45 pound plate. There were no fans no aircon no one had a phone no music. It was really like the movie pumping iron. Everything was rusty. But everyone worked out hard. No gear no one had fuel money back then.
I know my stats are lame but when you are 55 judge me. I go to a gym now and all the guys watch everything i do bewildered. I still use mostly free weights and the guys ask what im doing. Some even try to tell me there are machines for that exercise.
If i look around the gym now there are some huge mother fuckers. The size of the pros when i started. Sure they get the job done. But the rest just sit on a bench and txt on their phones.
Im old and these kids come up to me asking how to get arms like mine. How to get big legs like mine. When i was 20 i would hide in the corner and cry if some old cunt was bigger than me.
So i tell them the truth. I have 19 inch arms i weigh 117kg and im nearly 56. Want to be bigger than me. Leave your phone in the locker. Train with someone bigger than you. Eat something you cooked then eat some more. Fast food wont cut it you need to learn to cook. And train one muscle group at a time till it hurts so bad you cry. Tomorrow do it to another body part and repeat till you are at the start again.
