No tracking

Is it normal to not be given a tracking number when using online sources. Even after requesting one i was to told no and to just wait.

If he's shipping the gear out on his own and doesn't have a remailer he probably doesn't want ppl to see the departing city as it gives a hint to his location.

Pretty sure, the postage shows the origin city

You're right some of them do but I also have 3 priority boxes in front of me that don't show it. Not sure how to get around it but either someone forgot to do it or so some knows a way around it.

International sources should give one every time. Just because a domestic source may not give you a tracking # doesn't mean the pkg doesn't have one. It does. As was stated if a pack falls out of the stated TA a source then has the obligation to provide the # to the customer to prove the pack was sent in the first place as well as explain what's up with the pack.
Yes, once the customer received the pack the tracking # is on the pack and postage may say where it originated from.
There is a lapse in time that passes. Once a pack lands and shows "Delivered" all emails having to do with the order and pkg are deleted. Before that the info and tracking is kept for obvious reasons.
Another reason a source won't give out tracking is because customers are ridiculously anxious and 2 people don't need to be tracking the pkg.
The USPS has the IP addresses of all the people that log on and track a pkg. The IP and is linked to the pkg being tracked. This has been used in court to help prove and link a person to a particular package.
If a pack is damaged and a vial is smashed having the oil leak through the box the usps is able to open the pkg. If the USPS is so inclined they could link any people that have tracked that pack.

Completely common..lately.my source has not been giving tracking number but says if pack is not landed on wednesday ot whatever day he expects it to land that he will provide tracking
