Noopept
(Russian: Ноопепт; GVS-111, N-phenylacetyl-L-prolylglycine ethyl ester) is a peptide promoted and prescribed in Russia and neighbouring countries as a nootropic. The registered brand name Noopept (Ноопепт) is trademarked by the manufacturer JSC LEKKO Pharmaceuticals. The compound is patented in both the US and Russia with patent of Russian Federation number 2119496, US Patent number 5,439,930 issued 8/8/1995.[1] It is sold as adietary supplement in the US and as a medication in other countries.

Mechanism of action[edit]

Noopept is not a racetam (due to not having a 2-oxo-pyrrolidine skeleton),[2] but is generally grouped together in the same category because it shares similar mechanisms of action with the racetam family.[3] When compared to traditional racetams, it has been found to be, according to studies, 1000 times more potent than the prototypical racetam drug,piracetam.[4]

Piracetam is often dosed at 1200 mg, would 10 mg noopept be equal to 10000 mg piracetam? Looks like dangerous overdose...

I've been on noopept for almost 3 months now. I did not realize the effects until I found out that I perform tasks much more efficiently, and able to learn things at a much faster rate(doesn't improve memory) when I'm on noopept. I can definitely tell the difference now. However you need eat and sleep well, or else you'll have to deal with the brainfog problem.

Studies done by whom? Those who happen to be heavily invested in it?
1000x is a fucking huge difference!

I tired this last year for quite some time and do not think it did anything for me at all. I was really disappointed as I got it after someone I respected posted on using it and really liking it. Used his source and all. My biddy and I split a pretty large amount of powder and neither one of us were impressed at all.

You will only notice the effects if you use your brain at max capacity(at least try to); such activities could include - playing chess, competitive video gaming(as in being the top 0.1% and higher), sports and etc.

but to be honest, the effects werent as good as eating ginkgo and walnuts.
