Hey, whats up MESO. I've been snooping around this site for around a year and a half now and finally signed up. Idk why it took that long to sign up... but, there are alot of people, from what i can see with alot of information that can help me out with my goals. I have only been lifting for about a year and a half now. I started because I was tired of being skinny. It all started when I went on deployment a little over a year ago. I started at around 153 lbs at 5'11", and about 11 months into the deployment I was at around 185 give or take a few pounds. Ever since then I've been motivated as hell to lift. I've been pretty satisfied with my gains so far, but I need some more insight as to what I can do to maximize my gains and become the person I want to be. I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Thanks guys, and 30 pounds was definitely hard, but i realize it has slowed down alot now that i've been working out on a regular basis. My goal is big, but i have to make small goals to get big ones. So we will see where it takes me

Well your very much an ectomorph which means your gonna need A LOT of calories to gain weight. But the bright side is you still have alot of gains ahead of you. Your still early in development. You look young are you sure you wanna go down this road?
 
Yeah I'm 24, I used to get about 4200 or more but being in the military kinda shoots that out of the water. I'm just trying to figure out how I can get all that I need nutrition-wise throughout the afternoon and night first (I work long nights). I have more information about all this stuff posted in another thread. It doesn't include much of a schedule, but an idea of what I eat and how I go about my days.
 
Oh shit I didn't think you were 24. You looked younger. Now that I got that outta the way. Eating will be and always is the hardest thing. Any body can just go workout. We all love that. its the food that makes you grow the weights
Only stimulate the growth. Believe me I know all about the troubles of the military and so on but get used to eating field food and cans of tuna and jerky. Make due man we all got challenges that dont allow us to eat as we would like
to. Believe me I go outta my way everyday to ensure I dont lose the battle of the fork

Haha, no big deal. I just need to find a way to get some high protein and calorie foods. Like tuna, I would eat every day if it didn't raise the concern for mercury poisoning. I usually buy things in bulk so I know I'll have enough for a while, plus it's cheap
