Number of minutes to edit posts

Why is there a limit to begin with? Being that much of the forum content is illicit and the forum is almost certainly read by LE it seems that giving members the option to edit posts indefinitely would make the most sense.

Not at all or 1 hour! that gives time to edit information or an hour to cool off if you said something youd wish you wouldnt half! I have done both! Just sayin!

Seems funny dont it mike that we are all somewhat concerned about le yet there are so many cops and such on gear? They are amoung the eagerest to get gear from a reliable source! I would bet 25 percent law enforcement are on something! Guarantee there are members here that are cops!

I've always thought that the reason for the time limit, was to keep people honest.

For instance, Dbolman/whateverhisnamewasMD could have edited the posts where he exposed himself as a liar.

I think the limit should be removed. I've seen other boards where you can edit for as long as you like, but all your original, "pre-edit" writing remains linked to the post.

So, others can click a link, and see what the post looked like before it was edited. This is the ideal setup IMHO.

Wondering this same thing. When I click or highlight a post Ive made it seems to only give me the option to moderate.

That's the same issue I had. I accidentally made a post instead of a pm and immediately tried to delete. It just asks to moderate and gives no options. Guess I better pay closer attention.
