So I have a partial upper plate and looks like I may have to get the rest of my upper teeth pulled. That said I am trying to figure out how to keep my nutrition on track while the gums heal.

Just went thru this brother. No fun and almost impossible to eat with them in. I have been wearing a upper and lower partial since October. I had 10 teeth pulled all at once and was awake !!
I had to have bone graphs and now I’m waiting for the post to fuse. Oh by the way I had the work done in Costa Rica my home away from home. Been there about 15 times so super comfortable for me. Also having six crowns put on, whitening and some fillings. Basically a full mouth restoration.

Damn brother that’s a lot. I had the 4 top front removed 5 years ago and got a partial. Had two in side pulled 2 weeks go, leaves me 7 left on top. But they want to root canal 2 of the remaining and I don’t want that so will pull them leaving 5 so no point keeping the rest to lose them 5 years down the road.

The issues with the for me
1. Will have no top teeth and raw gums for a few weeks so keeping macros and calories up gonna be tough
2. I don’t want an immediate denture so will go 3-4 months with no top teeth, not sure how I feel about that.
3. Just had a phone interview for a possible job so may have to slow down extractions some until I have face to face interview or decline role, not sure I even want it yet.

@Morefyah what did you ending eating to keep up with your needs?

Lost most of my teeth in a crash and had to do the liquid diet for gainz as well at one point. Avacado green shakes and banana and Greek yogurt protein shakes where how I got almost all my nutrients morning shake for all my vitamins and healthy green shit and in the evening 500ml honey Greek yogurt to eat and another 500ml with 2 bananas and some other stuff tossed into a blender with some egg whites or collagen protein powder at the time.

Take it as an opportunity to improve your relationship with food because I think it may very well have been that incident that I went from food being apart of this game to calling it fuel not food cause that’s what it should be.

Fairlife milk - 1,000 calories in one bottle. Plus 100grams protein.

Your gonna have to drink your macros and micros man.

Just get creative with that fairlife milk by adding peanut butter and drink some green drinks as well.

Good luck man!

Yes it's going to suck big time...... I better start looking and logging liquid meals now so I know I am eating.

Thanks for the responses

Dude Sorry to hear your going through that. Yeah I had my teeth damaged playing lacrosse in college and again in a car accident. I also smoked for years and it fucked up my gums. I go back in May to have the 10 implants and 6 crowns put on. It’s all going to be worth it in the end. $25,000 cash. It would cost $70,000 here in the states.

I’m pretty sure you already know I have been vegan/vegetarian for 8 years. So I drink a few different smoothies high cal protein/gainer then Hemp based green fruit smoothies. I drink these year round regardless of what’s going on with my teeth.

A typical day of eating for me I blend a big smoothie with 2 coops ON pro complex gainer 1/2 cup oats, 4 Tbls peanut butter, 1 banana, 1 cup almond/cashew protein Milk, water.
Lol, macros
1500 cals
100g protein
120g carbs
12g fat
This fills Two blender bottles. I drink one post workout, the other I sip on throughout the day.

I eat 3 eggs 1-2 cup of whites, cheese and wheat tortillas every morning.

1/2 steel cut oats, protein milk, blueberries, hemp seeds, dates

Cold mixed bean salad with kale, olive oil, cilantro, lemon, Thai chili’s

1-2 mashed up sweet potatoes with butter and honey. 1 30g protein vegan sausage

Pre workout: peanut butter honey sandwich on whole wheat bread and a banana.

Post workout Big smoothie
Quinoa/rice blend with a package of vegetarian chkn strips, grilled asparagus.

Whole milk Greek yogurt with peanut butter, blueberries, hemp seeds

Sometimes before bed another peanut butter honey sandwich or ice cream. :p

Sorry is so long
