I think using 30g 1/2" and going in the correct area of the quad really minimizes risk, but I totally understand your decision to not risk it. 30g thin wall pushes 1ml in about 30 seconds for me, and that's MCT at about 60° Fahrenheit, would go way faster with heated oil.

Yeah and oil volume for me as well is usually high in off-season

23g 1" is what I started with there.

Finally graduated to a 27g 5/8 courtesy of this thread and the suggestion of nipro thin walls. Also found some ez touch 27g 5/8 insulin needles that serve the same function. No issues as of yet.

5/8 and 1/2 inch are my faves in 25g

Curious if your guys add a bit extra to account for any dead space on the v easy touch. I use these and thought I read it was .1-2ml. not a ton but something

You may be off by a factor of 10 lol. I think you might loose .01-.02 as in 1 to 2 percent of the whole ml syringe
