MCT in and of itself is naturally sterile as bacteria cannot grow in it. So what's the point of fancy high tech MCT? I don't get it. Food grade MCT should be totally fine as a carrier no BA/BB needed or am I missing something?
They are similar in profile but the purity is different. The higher grade doesn’t interfere with active ingredients. To what degree, not sure. But Pench is willing to give it a go and it can’t hurt to have a higher quality. I dont believe he is going to add cost either possibly. Just advancing the UG

Even if there’s a $1-2 increase, his prices are still competitive for the quality he is putting out.

MCT or MiG, I’m sticking around.

The purpose of MCT is not to keep it sterile. That's what b.a and filtering is for. Just an example but oil is oil, would you rather use good quality pharma grade oil or rancid oil? High quality oils are good enough for IV, food grade oil? No

My point is that b.a. is pointless with MCT as it's totally sterile naturally. Bacteria cannot grow in MCT. So, if brewing, no need to add preservatives. At least that's my rudimentary understanding.

I would google “difference between MiG 812 and regular MCT”.

Key takeaway- For compounding medications (like testosterone injections) or products needing consistent, safe, and stable carriers, Miglyol 812, is the superior choice due to its stringent pharmaceutical standards, while regular MCTs are best for general dietary energy.

Big dog no offense but if the source wants to use a higher quality oil then why should we concern ourselves with it and question the decision?

If the MCT being used meets the specifications of miglyol812 is the MCT functionally equivalent? What really differentiates the final product? Compliance/certification I assume or am I missing something?

From my understanding, MCT itself does inhibit bacterial growth, however it is not guaranteed to suppress it entirely. If bacteria is introduced to the vial through a lack of proper aseptic technique when piercing the stopper, there is a chance, albeit a small one, that bacteria could grow. This is especially true if any residual or introduced moisture makes its way into the vial. We all know how serious infections are, and I think adding BA to further insure against bacterial growth is a no brainer. As for higher quality/purity, pharmaceutical grade oil vs food grade, again, better is better, and if this is coming at a zero to negligible price difference, why not? Let's stack everything in our favor that we have control over.

Can you please start researching some of these claims before posting them here. MCT oil is not inherently sterile, and there are various grades.
