~Ogh"s Old Geezer Tren Run....

I really want to do this without alot of gear . I might cut the test back some .
My experiences are for the majority based around cheating the scale, I never maintain a lower weight class for any period of time. Huge difference...I lose the weight lose the strength period, but bounce back in a matter of hours when I refeed.

Your lifts are already there, but your real challenge will be maintaining strength because that's a LOT of weight to drop and keep off. I think it's completely realistic to achieve your goal on very little gear. A militant diet and programming will be the deciding factor as always, I'd get with a well seasoned guy that has experience moving down in classes in the past, that's some next level shit way above my head. If anyone can do it I have faith you're our boy!

I had a nice pump , just had to share it ,lol. Deep cuts and a 450lb deadlift are next....
just out of curiosity...why now? I know you've trained 5x5 and such in the past but what made you commit to the strength training for the long haul?

Seems like a lot of guys are switching gears around here and too be honest I think it's pretty interesting and excited to see what you guys accomplish. You've spent so much time building your amazing physique though I'm somewhat surprised you are willing to drop that much weight for this goal.

I was planning on losing weight and getting ripped anyway , I think I can do both . All I need is the deadlift , I didnt realize how close my totals were until an Alaskan friend pointed it out . He goes to the PL meets there and knew I was coming back for the winter . Just got to lose weight , preserve strength , pull it off , get in the PL books .

You can always come back to bodybuilding....cant always come back to powerlifting .

you can do it, I know you are wiser and more disciplined than me. If I could follow the program I would be blowing the doors off already....but I keep sneaking in extra workouts on my days off and pushing too hard. The older I get the more I'm finally understanding what you mean when you say less is more :D

and at least you know if you never isolate your bi's again and drop 60lbs you will still always have guns that dwarf my tendrils haha! You will be the real deal Renaissance Man I have no doubt

Your getting bigger Skull , plus look at the crowd you hang with here , all winners !
You know how the sayin goes. You are what you hang around. So that just means I'm going to be a fucking monster some day. Im very thankful for having some of the most badass super knowledgeable bros just like you Ogh by my side an guiding down the right path to greatness my friend!!!!;):D:cool:

After ALOT of years spanning thru my teens and some 20's and now in my 30's which marks the steroid era (for me) I've found rest is by far the most important ingredient in size/strength building. Even on gear rest can't be ignored. This is probably the best thing i learned from mentzer's books. I pretty much go by feel now. Takes a bit of dialing but I know it now. It's not even what I would consider guessing or bro science. It is what it is. There's a certain training stimulus I work toward and then try to stay on the edge of the cliff without falling off(overtraining) or what ever term you like to use. It's where my best gains are made:D

That tren cycle I did I got really strong , set all kinds of PR"s , just like I did on the (DGS) Tbol from last yr. Im thinking the combo might have me superstrong , if I dont self-destruct (plus I still have Tbol & tren ace). I was told to go w/ A-bombs or winny too . I just want that 20% increase I get from gear , I will be training mostly natty w/ some test .

Superdrol over any oral any day hands down. Actually probably my favorite out of everything besides test since the well-being factor.

8/17/15- Incline bench day : Got 205x10x10 but it was shakey , I dont think I"ll get near the 225x10x10 I got last year on gear . Lactic acid builds up more off cycle . My arms were so swelled up and hurting after 10 sets I thought they were gonna cramp . My triceps have that "gonna pull" feel to them . Taking it easy today....

8/21/15---Incline bench - 215x10x10 was a fail on the 6th set . No where near my 225x10x10 from last yr (on cycle)

Like I said earlier I will continue adding 10lbs to my sets . This will bring me down to the 5 rep range . Then it will be 5x5 for a month then nothing but triples, double & singles as I change to pure powerlifting .

8/23/15---Im working on my standing presses as a way to improve my bench press . Many powerlifters recommend this , especially Rippetoe . Ive never liked sitting front presses as much as standing , I learned early to do the clean and press to get into position for the standing press and thats all I do . If I cant clean it I shouldnt try and press it ....

Standing press
100x2x5 <reps
150x2x5
180x3x3
205x3(2/2/1) weak

OGH you are truly an inspiration to all those who follow you myself included. And not just because of your age cause i would find you just as impressive if you were 35.
Keep killing it OGH you have an army of support behind you brother, that record is as good as yours [emoji4]
