Online echocardiogram orders in US?

Anyone know of a Telmed service that will send orders for an echocardiogram to your local imaging center? I want to self pay for the test, but they require an order from a doctor. My doctor won’t put in orders since I don’t have any issues. I’d like to have one for peace of mind since I’m older now, and have been using gear for 25 years. I’ve had all the usual cardiovascular scans done, but would like the echocardiogram to reassure me I can keep using NPP with no issues. Worst case I may have to doctor shop.

You could always say that you have family history of heart problems and that will definitely get you seen by a cardiologist and they can order the echocardiogram

You could always say that you have family history of heart problems and that will definitely get you seen by a cardiologist and they can order the echocardiogram

I’ll try that. My insurance doesn’t require a referral, so I’ll call around. I do have family history of heart problems, but they were mostly self imposed by lifestyle.

They don't need to know the details they just need to know that there was a history of heart problems etc. that will guarantee you the necessary test that you're asking for
