Hey everyone,
Been on here researching for a while and would like some opinions on my next cycle.
Stats-
32 y/o
5’6”
Weight 140-145lbs
BF% at start of bulk - 20-21%
Approx 1RMs (S/B/D) - 270/185/295
So far I’ve done one 8-week cycle of Anavar, weeks 1-2 @ 5mg, weeks 3-8 @ 10mg split AM/PM. This cycle was meant to be a recomp, eating at a deficit for the majority of the time with maintenance level calories for week 7. Enjoyed a lot of strength gains and some muscle size; experienced very low sides but did retain a good bit of water that shed completely in roughly a week post cycle.
Ive been in a calorie deficit for the better part of 2 years so I am really excited to do an actual bulk. Plans are to be in a slight calorie surplus (10%) as I want to gain as little fat as possible. Goals are mainly hypertrophy but always looking for strength gains as well. Most importantly I want the muscle gains to stick around, I’m not interested in blowing up just to deflate and lose it all when I’m off cycle.
The two compounds I’m considering are Anavar and Anadrol. Anavar was pretty effective for me, and I’m curious how it would be in a calorie surplus, considering the improvements I made on it while in a deficit. I’ve also done a lot of research on Anadrol, dosed at 25mg ED split AM/PM as it seems like an interesting compound for women at that low dose, but there aren’t many first hand logs/reports on it. I’m concerned it may be one of those compounds that just blows you up and then deflates you when you’re done and you don’t hold onto the muscle gains when you’re done.
I plan to run just one compound at a time since I’m still new to this and I know less is more in the beginning. I’d love some opinions or experiences of women on these or if another oral might be even better (Primo??) I plan to run an aggressive cut after this bulking season and will probably do that assisted as well to preserve what I gain during the bulk but that’s another thread for another day.
