Yeah psychological, anxiety, etc.. that’s been a consideration
Stay sober, the longer you do, your desires will change in what you want from a woman or man? Not tryna throw a diss but whatever you like you like idgaf. When I went sober I thought my libido was trashed but the reality was I changed and my desires/ morals changed as well as my lifestyle. Eventually what I wanted came into my life and I found out my libido was def not crashed.

Yeah for sure, happy to pass that info along. That’s one of the best things about this forum is sharing of info. I just happen to read that article one day and it stuck since I used to take PPI’s regularly and also have dementia risk in my genes.
Would pantoprazole count as a PPI (don’t know what the alliteration means)

Yeah I’ve been alcohol free(never did anything else other than booze) for 10.5 months. I’d say this lack of any or much of sexual desires goes beyond that since getting sober because I feel like I lack emotions about 90-95% of the time, nothing really excites me other than my morning gym session, I don’t look forward to much of anything. I’m neither happy nor sad. It’s really weird. But a huge positive take away from it is being able to focus on important shit(instead of constantly chasing puss) like finances, Completely turned my life around in that aspect, and my health/physique, which is a work in progress lol.

You’re just going through a re balancing phase or just now noticing who you truly are without mind altering substances, which may just be a very even keel focused individual whose emotions are so balanced they seem non existent

I’ve been taking 5mg ed for like a couple years and I think it helps blood pressure a bit but it 100% does nothing as a sexual aid. I see people say it makes sex 10 times easier but I don’t get any of that. I take it as a preworkout but it would be cool to get those sexual aspects of it. Ever since I quit drinking, zero libido like nothing at all. Test is high, bloods are good, nothing that I could think of is wrong and it’s not like my shit doesn’t work like an ED guy. Ole boy works fine just zero drive
It’s not a libido increased juts provides more blood flow get some oxytocin in your life

Yeah I know. I just use them for preworkout. I was just saying it would be nice to see those effects people talk about from this drug, however, I’m not dealing with ED, just drive. And when you say oxytocin, do you mean the old fashioned way or the peptide lmao there’s a difference

The peptide my friend lol

Just throwing this out there, if you've taken BPC 157 or Retatrutide before they can cause anhedonia. The former has actually shown promise in helping with anhedonia, but there are many reports on Reddit of people taking it and then feeling emotionless.

I’ve heard about that with BPC but not Reta. I am on a lower dose of Reta right now. However, I’ve only been on Reta for about 11 weeks. I’ve been emotionless/zero libido for around 10.5 and that started as soon as I quit drinking. Testosterone is high, estrogen is in range. Haven’t tested prolactin or SHBG yet. But I’ve only been on Reta and a normal dose of test for most of the time but I started running 500mg when I started Reta

If you Google around you will find some anecdotal experiences of people getting anhedonia while taking retatrutide.

I’d recommend trying low dose famotodine (pepcid) instead of omeprazole first. I have read a few recent articles linking proton pump inhibitors to an increase in dementia risk

“New research in Neurology suggests that there may be a higher risk of dementia for people who take the medications over several years. The study found that people ages 45 and older who took PPIs for more than four years had a 33% higher risk of developing dementia than people who never took this class of medication.”

I struggle too with tadalifil heartburn / esophagus sides. Even 5mg makes me feel like I’m choking on my food. Sometimes I even end up throwing up..sucks.

I usually stick with 2.5mg daily to minimize it but it’s still there. When it gets real bad a small dose of famatodine works
They're also linked with esophageal dysplasia and carcinoma. The cells lining the esophagus and stomach need an acidic environment to be healthy. When you turn off acid production with a PPI, and have biliary reflux too (which is common), that environment becomes alkaline and the cells develop what is called intestinal metaplasia, then become dysplastic which can ultimately proceed to cancer.

PPIs should be taken only short term for ulcers basically. Pepcid/famotidine is a far better option as it decreases but does not eliminate gastric acid production. Pepcid Complete works really well for me.

Reflux is complicated as it can also be caused by too little gastric acid, which is why some use betaine HCL to treat it. Basically acid is needed for the sphincter at the gastroesophageal junction and the pylorus to stay closed. With insufficient acid they tends to relax, then gas and intestinal contents can reflux back into the stomach and up into the esophagus.

Reflux from PDE5s typically goes away after a short period of time with continued use. And you can get the same benefits of taladalafil from any of the shorter acting drugs (sildenafil, verdanfil, miradenafrl, udenafil, avanafil) by taking them more frequently. Some don't tolerate taladafil specifically because it is a dual PDE5/PDE11 inhibitor - PDE11 is plentiful in skeletal muscle, and activating it can cause extremely severe low back pain if a threshold dose is exceeded - I've had it. It's right behind an obstructing kidney stone in terms of severity.

Have you tried PT-141? I haven't but I read it works well. I'd also try TNE to see if it short term gets you in the mood. Your dopamine and Serotonin is probably all jacked up and needs a reset. I'm not sure how to do that long term but a visit to a psyc Dr. maybe in order. PT 141 is bremelanotide and I am sure you could get a script with a wellness Dr. Other alternative therapies..ketamine, Ayahuasca, ecstasy, etc. SSRI as last resort. Life is short, try some things.

When I put 10.5 I meant 10.5 months. You’d think my dopamine/serotonin would’ve somewhat recovered from some serious drinking in that amount of time, if that’s what it is. But no I have tried PT 141. My luck with a couple of the feel good peptides hasn’t been great. One guy recommended oxytocin, I might try that. The idea is at least promising.
I honestly might run some tren ace as a pre summer blast after I lean up a little more. That shit always maybe me feel happy, confident, beastly, and insanely horny. Been almost a decade since I’ve ran it. Might be time

I started PT-141 recently. I've been put on antidepressants and other things like viagra etc. The desire wasn't there so the blue pill didn't help. When I tried PT-141 I had sex with my wife 3 times in 1 day. I won't lie, it is a game changer! I experienced a little nausea but like melanotan, you can take a less drowsy dramomine tablet to combat that. PT-141 lasted the whole day with random erections throughout. I was at hopes end before taking it. I highly recommend giving it a try.
