Not down playing.

Where is the most important section a squared off area identifying the item seized. Descriptor?

Seriously I'm in a different thread ordering products and just got one of these. CBP.

In my time I've received 3 from CBP international packages, and two from USPS. Either valid from CBP, and USPS was broken items which they deemed hazardous to other mail.

***No description of property***
That address is package isn't what I'm talking about. A real notice will say something like...

“1 parcel containing approximately 200 tablets labeled X, originating from {Adsress], seized at [facility]…”

This just says...

“Your package was seized”
with zero mention of what, that’s bogus and they aren't vague. They always tell you what it is and why.

T

That address only has a UPS store and some bullshit places. Something smells off.
Pretty sure they aren’t using a legit address. Bigger concern is that if this is an address that in their rotation, it could get flagged, if known
This, thanks dude, I guess I could have done that, but I actually just received 1. All the others as well were very descriptive.
Even your domestic letter was explicit in detail? I feel like I’ve seen this more vague letter before.

That phone number is to USPS Mail Fraud. There is a reference number, but I personally wouldn’t be calling in.

This just smells off. USPS doesn’t even have a branch called the criminal investigation service center

But they do have a devision call the United States Postal Inspection Service, which is what the letterhead states, and the insignia matches.

I think we should take this seriously until more info becomes available.

This is a time where Opti’s lack of presence isn’t helpful.

Did it look like that one and is it Opti related
No my recent is CBP, but they listed the item and still proceeded to ship the items off medical exemption. Letter literally states everything and package landed with everything else. Nothing if the nature where I would still be concerned, again legitimate meds.

A year ago I got 2 from USPS. Those also have an item descriptor section. In detail what it is. Seizure date, and in the authority if who for seizure with citing of the USC it violated.

In my case, "three small glass vials containing liquid substance" clear full description.

Under USC they are required to identify exactly the item. Fur them to invoke §3001, USPS must determine WHAT the article is and WHY it fits a prohibited category

That determination must be communicated to the addressee by law.

So I'm skeptical more than I was yesterday with the fear mongering. All my letters contain this detail.

Edit: apology for typos in in a hurry. They may be using the bunk address as the item descriptor. But I'm my experience it's been clear detail. I was brewing wine and shipping and receiving the same. That was another package from USPS. It stated glass bottle, red liquid, hazardous item as stated as not declared at time of shipment, prohibited item.

I can agree it’s cautionary but for a government agency to add details like that isnt something they do. Everything is standard. Even Compu Worx has no usps affiliation

It is a good way to buy time to send a letter instead of a pack.

I just wanna say that I have had two of these letters before. They are real. I had packs seized from primal awhile back the tracking updated to held for mail determination and that letter followed a week later. The same thing happened with the reship as well.

We know the letters are real but that one has some things that don’t make sense if you do a little digging

How far is a while back? They may have changed, mine from USPS were a long time ago. They had descriptor section identifying item.

I did a search and see online reports of people receiving this exact same “generic” letter with the phone number and reference number. So the letters do look like this. That doesn’t guarantee this one is legit, but it does appear they now send out this type of letter.

Was just reposting the photo from the other forum. I have zero involvement.

Return address shouldn’t matter. As a source you should limit how many times you’re using addresses no? And it should have zero relation to your operation.

( have since reported to be removed since I can’t edit or delete. Photo is also probably still active on the other forum)
