Path to a 500 wilks

Workout today was,

4x1 squat @ 405
4x1 bench @ 275
4x1 deadlift @ 475

As you could imagine, everything moved pretty easy. Felt kind of bad for the guy next to me because he failed on a single of 375 on squat. Then here's me next to him doing speed reps of 405 without even looking like I'm trying... Moments like that that make the $30/month worth it. Haha

Bet that dude must be pissed at you and giving you the stinkeye lmao. Just the other day one of the jhooks in a rack broke as a dude squatting 585 was racking it. Good thing several guys came to his aid before he fell over. That sort of thing gets the adrenalin going...

Planet fatness or what?

Lol those smith machines. Planet Fatness is my 2nd gym I go to on certain days and yeah there's guys who go heavy benching on those LOL.

There's a PF a shouting distance from my place so I go there when weather is bad so as not to drive across town to my go-to gym.

No. He works there. He knows I'm a competitive powerlifter. Lol.

That's shitty for that dude though. Definitely would catch you off guard.

Lol that guy must hate you now haha.

Yeah that was a shitty thing to happen at my gym a few days ago when I was benching and the guy was in the rack near where I was benching. Whenever I use the rack I check the hooks to make sure they aren't corroded or bent. Also checked safety bars too as sometimes those get bent or damaged. Hate to risk serious injury when parts fail in a rack.

No. That's down the street a few blocks. This place does have fitness in the name though. Lol. There isn't a powerlifting gym in my area. The biggest city for 2 hours only has 50,000 people. Lol.
Bet you sneak off to Planet Fatness for some cardio and checking out the girls lmao jk.

No. That's one of the reason I go this gym. This is the one all the hot chicks go to. It's crazy... I'm used to working out in a basement style gym with a bunch of dudes. At this gym there's 21 year old girls prancing around in basically their bra and underwear.

Nice...was just messing with you man lol. Good to have it all in one place :)

Same with the one I go to...the girls are crazy. Crazy as in them ripping off my headphones from my head when I was benching...putting them on to listen to the tunes on my phone haha and I was going like WTF!

Weight today was 194.2

Workout was,

4x1 comp squat @ 315
4x1 comp bench @ 225
3x12 dual cable high row

Has anyone tried dual cable high rows? The gym I go to doesn't have a chest supported row, but I saw these on YouTube and tried them. Not quite as good, but a decent backup IMO if your gym doesn't have a chest supported row.

Tried them before.
Solid pump but it's a bit poverty in comparison to the chest supported row for isolating and really feeling that contraction
Agreed for sure.

Well, looks like I'll just say fuck it and cut to 181 and go for their sleeve record. Sitting at about 190 right now. Will have to sit in the hot tub a bit tonight, then might have to have another sweat session tomorrow morning, should be able to make weight without much of a problem though. No food or water today though.
