PCT – Correcting Incorrect Timing

It has been stated that the biggest failure of PCT is starting it too soon.

As an example, a TP cycle of 700mg/wk would take about 7 days after last injection for half-life reductions to drop below 50mg equivalent. So PCT should start 7 days after last injection. See first post in Comprehensive Guide to PCT

If one started early, say day 2, would it need to be corrected by extending PCT? In this case about a week?

Or would this early start cause a more significant problem?

If so, how would one correct this doomed PCT? Would it be best to resume TP for a couple weeks, then wait the appropriate 7 days after last injection, and then start PCT?

What I do, is i take the generally accepted time frames, like say test e = 2 weeks after last pin to start pct. I pay attention to how I feel. A day will cone around that 2 week mark (sometimes a few days or something later) where I will feel super lethargic. I'll have less confidence in myself, and avoid absolutely everything. Essentially I'll turn into a bitch. This is the day I know that it's time to start pct. Generally accepted time frames are just a suggested template for us. The real value is in learning how your body feels and reacts. It took a few cycles for me to nip this in the bud but I feel I have it down now. Last cycle I was on t400. Suggested pct time was 21 days after last pin. The day came roughly three weeks later where I felt my manhood had left. (No motivation, afraid to call clients regarding business, just wanted to hide away). I checked my calender halfway through the day and noticed it had been a little more than 3 weeks from when I took my last shot. Then it clicked "ah, I have no testosterone, lil bitch". So I started pct protocol.

Am I drunk? Yes....
Does this work for me? Yes...

And to not be a knob and answer your question,
Yes, extend pct if started early imo. If you're not abusing your Clomid like an asshole it shouldn't hurt much

Thanks for the posts. What you say makes sense ... and in the end "listen to your body". I figured that starting 'late' is only harmful in the sense of wasting opportunity and potentialy some gains.

Timing seems to get interesting because it can be based on what androgens were used. With T it seems to be straight forward half-life stuff. But stuff like deca seem to be extra suppressive for reason beyond estrogen and half-lives. Perhaps waiting for that particular low you describe would handle these other compounds.

Since recovery time is linked with duration of high androgens, how long do you blast? And once you start PCT, how long to restore natural T? (seems some go 30 days and others 45 days)

As for which SERM to use, it seems that is also learning ones personal response. Dr Scally reports the most success using both clomid and tamoxifen together.

He posted something interesting on another thread: PCT - Lets get it ironed out (Dr Scally?)

Separately, I look to a TT 350+ with hCG as a marker for possible successful HPTA restoration. If less, I find the likelihood to be less. There is the importance of timing. This brings up the area of synchronization (GnRH Pulse Generator). This is the probable cause for a lower TT level in TRT with a higher baseline. Also, the reason tapering is a non-starter.

If I understand this correctly, in some cases starting early can mess things up. And it is also important to front-load the SERM(s) to 'synchronize' GnRH stuff -- whatever that exactly means.

This brings back the possibility of a failed PCT. It seems that failures are resolved by more time spent with SERMs and possibly other agents. But is does make me speculate if it could be useful to shut the HPTA hard again with a short blast (say 125mg/day TP for a week), then wait an appropriate time, then hit hard with start of SEAM. The idea being to create a strong contrast to 'wake' the hypothalamus into action. Of course, Dr S would have most information about such things as he must have had some difficult cases.
