Was 9/11 an inside job?

Just curious how many people think that 9-11 could have been allowed or even assisted by the US government. I'm not saying I do or don't, but I've been checking out some different sites at the request of one of my friends. Most of them are way out there but this one has some interesting points and links:

All the these conspiracy theories about 9/11 are BS imo. Nothing to speculate about, Bin Laden admitted that they've planned it.

However, the war on Iraq was for supermacy in the region and to have a stronger hold on Iran as far as I can tell, nothing to do with freedom or WMD.

Have you watched the Bin Laden tape where he admitted to it? The dude doesn't look anything like Bin Laden. Plus, according to gov documents, Bin Laden is left handed. The man in that video is shown eating and writing right handed.

I hate to think our government would be involved in something this terrible, but the events of 9/11 sure do leave a lot of unanswered questions in my mind.

Second, the whole left handed, right handed thing should be obvious to anyone with any basic knowledge about islam. According to islamic law, you wipe your ass with your left hand and you eat with your right hand. There is no negotiating this principle.

Now to the peak oil - 9/11 question...
Peak oil is a very real and unavoidable fact. Just the simple fact that oil is a nonrenewable resource necessitates such a theory.

9/11/01 is a very real and irreversible occurence, and it was avoidable. However, the most proximate blame falls on the Clinton administration. It is true that former republican administrations helped to arm him and make himthe threat that he has become. But in their indirect defense, it wasn't until the crazy saudi clerics got ahold of him that he became the wacko we know today. Back to the Clinton administration though.... the CIA had him in their cross hairs back in the late nineties in the operation that has become known as the Tarnak Raids. Tarnak was the location of one of Osama's training camps. The CIA had found him there and had agents (trained kurdish fighters) ready to go in and kill him. But that pussy Richard Clark withdrew authorization at the last possible moment for fear of political backlash that would occur if/when the families of the terrorists that were training there got killed in the crossfire.
This sentiment has been the sentiment that has plauged our efforts ever since. One must not concern themselves with what others may think when doing what he or she knows that they must do.

Peak oil and 9/11 are completely unrelated facts. One is a fact of nature, the other is a fact of American history. Once again, people who make these alleged connections need to lay off the weed!

P.S. we have never been as close as we were then.
