Peptide for knee pain

That's an important distinction JI. Although somed PEPs may prove effective in relieving discomfort on an individual basis their MOA is unknown and unproven.

That's to say do PEPs actually HEAL DAMAGED CARTILAGE, ligaments or tendons or do they simply diminish the inflammatory response.

To date the evidence reveals the healing of intra-articular structures can only be promoted when they are directly exposed to specific growth factors, such as IGF, fibroblast inhibitors and primordial cellular agents as in stem cells.

Understand this is a staged process in which these agents are instilled directly into the joint in s time specific manner.

Unfortunately there is NO EVIDENCE the parenteral administration of either PEPs, GH or even IGF are capable of HEALING cartilage or those stromal components common to tendons or ligaments.

So as this has gotten a bit of light again I decided not to do any peds to try an speed it up as the doctors still can figure it out two months post injury and they have a lot of different ideas of what it could be so I'm letting it ride on the docs to figure it out and fix it right. Patience has been hard as I haven't been able to do leg day while on cycle but my legs were far beyond my upper body so I'm spending the time evening out my proportions a bit. If your curious as to possible diagnosis for the problem there about 10 I could list for you.

PRP injections is anecdotal garbage imo, amniotic stem cell injections would be my choice between the two

I had a double round of PRP injections for my arm troubles (mainly epicondylitis) two months ago, and another round last week - each round consisting of 5 injections, including straight into whatever sheath that tendon runs in. The previous constant pain is now almost gone. Huge difference.

Curious about the amniotic stem cell injections - my TRT doc mentioned that he now handles this too. Have you seen any studies regarding efficacy over PRP - or other treatment methods? Not much on this site about it.

My TRT doc also indicated that he could get me real HGH - via another state that's more permissive - then one I live in (GA) is allegedly opposed to anyone prescribing HGH. I'd like to augment my PRP with HGH - I bought 60 IU overseas that I'm now administering at a very modest 1 IU per day, in the morning, just to assist with healing.

@Dr JIM - anything from your end regarding amniotic stem cell injections?

Thanks

As a retired doc, I completely agree with Dr Jim. Do everything in your power to avoid surgery/scoping. Unless you have a loose body in your joint or a focal loss of weight bearing cartilage, the best path to recovery is be patient. With joints and tendon strains most people recover with conservative treatment, physiotherapy is the place to start. Try accupunture for pain relief. Although not a first line AAS, Durabolin can significantly help with joint pain.

Good luck and try to stay away from the knife.

Little bit of an old thread now but I guess since it was commented on.

I never took any peptides or anything for my knee took the better part of 3 months to diagnose it but once it was the physio treatment went swimmingly. The initial MRI was shit so we redid it and they found my knee joint was rotated causing some serious petella femural pain as well as ligament strains so my leg was put in this super neat brace for two weeks that made me feel like batman as it rotated my knee back and through my everyday physio and in combination with proper taping techniques I was able to come to a 95% recovery. Only thing now is that I have an instability upon climbing on uneven surfaces when my knee is bent at a certain degree, so that just means I need to use 3 pieces of tape and I can tape my own knee before I go hiking. It will need replacement down the line due to all the cartilage damage from being unaligned for a 4 month period but that's a future Rodger problem to worry about.
