personal log, road to first competition 2024 autumn

advice needed
i feel like i'm kinda done with the fat burning part, competition is next saturday.

Do you think it would be a good idea to raise the carbs a tab bit until like thursday, start depleting thursday-tuesday and start carbing for the show on wednesday?

Currently i'm on average 170g carb / day, would raise it to 250-300g for the next 3 days to see how I carb up and get a bit of a break from the constant hunger. Would it be too late to do such thing?

As for the carb load plan is the following (ofc might vary depending on looks)
WED- 400g THU- 600g FRI 6-700 g carb, SAT showday: as needed based on mirror

Hey dooze, how did it work out? Are you happy with your delivery? Greetings!
show day’s tomorrow, luckily the newbie class i’m in starts so i’ll be on stage by 10-11am
Im not satisfied with the results but not disappointed either - i’ve learned a lot along the way
Here’s a pic from today’s spray tan (another will be done tomorrow at 7am)

WHAT A FUCKING BLAST
why didnt i start this earlier? All the pain and sacrafices turned into glory and euphoria in a matter of an hour.
The newbie class was stronger than ever, I got 7th out of 12. First 5 guys had years of competition history but in different federation so they could qualify as newbies. I wasnt mad about it, i would do the same.
Posing turned out better than expected- it was still terrible but not embarassing.
Already planning next year

Congrats man, it's really admirable to just finish a prep, competing or not and you did very well for your first time.

If i could only suggest anything for your next one is just hire a coach. Any worries you have, anything you don't know and what decision to take he will be there for you. I think is a huge stress relief and of course a experience set of eyes too.

Congrats again and glad you enjoyed it :)

Hey man great conditioning, great physique.

Is it really that fun to compete? Maybe I should also do it atleast one time.. lets see.

Upper body is overpowering lower atleast on the "competition/ stage pics"

Your competition really does/did look pretty strong indeed..

@Eddie <- I think he is absolutely right, even if you would need to cut the $$$ for the coach from the money you spend on gh/gear, I think you would greatly benefit from a coach when aiming for the next comp. IF you find a capable one who works with you for a reasonable amount of money!

Keep us updated!

Finally the stage photos were uploaded. To be honest when I started the log I couldnt imagine finally actually finishing it. I mean I wanted to just couldnt picture it, it feels so good looking back.
Now I know what I need to work on, lost my stage virginity, i got so much. Will probably chime in with some updates every now and then and continue the log.

So what is next?

How did you handle the hunger after competition, go eat everything in sight, or a reverse diet?
I applied to a team who run/help/promote competitors. My plan is the compete next autumn but they might convince me to do a show in spring too.

I managed it really well. Post show meal was a single cheeseburger with small fries at mcdonalds from then on im back to strictly monitoring macros.

I did eat sugary cereals and raisins instead of rice and oats a couple if times in the begining of the week but all within target macros (2-300g carbs/day)

I think if i went all out on eating post show it would be more difficult to manage. I didnt feel like starving though, even if it wasnt much it was godsend after weeks of craving.

New coach gave me a new diet, bumping up the calories by a thousand
3900 kcal /288g protein/ 481g carbs/ 92g fats
The new training plan is completely different too, hitting legs twice a week. Let’s see in a couple of weeks what results im getting
Cruising on 250 test E/wk + 3 iu chinese GH/day currently

That sounds good.
How long do you want to do the TRT?
I'm looking forward to the setup with the new coach.
As long as he tells me to, wasn’t discussed yet. As I heard he’s not as hung up on gear as I am
We’re gonna have some training together (first time on friday), he sent me a viber message today saying “i watched how you trained today and there is a lot of room for improving intensity which is good cause there a lot of growth potential in you. I dont wanna scare you, you’ll see”
I’m happy, scared and a bit humiliated at the same time

It's really good that you have a coach who also trains with you.
These days, a lot of coaching is done online. People film themselves on their cell phone or cam and send it to the coach. Or the coach isn't interested in training at all
In your case, the ideal situation is that your coach is physically present on site.
I'm really looking forward to your development and wish you a good training session with him.
The potential is definitely there!
