Phreezer, Bob Smith & Vets!!!- Does Nolvadex Reduce Water Retention???

Guys, I know this question has been beat into the ground, but I'll ask it anyway. In YOUR opinion, does Nolvadex reduce water retention during a cycle??? I was thinking of using it during my First Cycle(250mg of Test Enanthate every 4th day for 10 weeks & Dbol@20mgs ED weeks 1-5) along with 500ius of HCG every 4th day throughout the cycle. What do you think???

yes it does, not as well as armidex but will keep most the bloat off, especially with that low of a dosage you will be fine with nolva

no im no vet or mod but I asked the same question and thats the answer a mod gave me, search my threads you will see

That is considered a fairly low dose cycle, but for a beginner it will be sufficient given that the other variables are in place, i.e. training, eating, sleep, etc.

As for the nolvadex, yes it does help reduce water retention although not to the extent that adex will. For your cycle, though, nolva will be fine just be sure to get more than you think you will need in case any problems arise, like gyno.

Your HCG protocol is different from what I consider normal, but if you ask 10 people how to use HCG on here you will probably get 5, maybe 10 different answers. I am going to use it on my current cycle and will use at @ 500iu for 10 days at the midpoint. I'm not a mod or vet, but I know my stuff pretty well and I am willing to bet they will say the same things.

No it doesn't,.You better of with Arimedix or Femara

Actually, yes it does just like I said not to the extent that adex, femara or other aromatase inhibitors do. Not trying to suck Bill's c*ck or anything, but he also says it does unless you want me to access some scientific databases and find you some studies that prove it does. Oh yeah, Fina, I noticed mistercartoon in your sig earlier, I work for a pro sports team and a couple of them got tattoos there when we were in L.A. Too expensive for me though, plus I can't bring myself to get one.

"The fact that Nolvadex will reduce water retention may result in the user agreeing that gains are less, since weight gain is less, thus reinforcing the bias." --From the drug profiles.

I'm all for proof via scientific data, but for this one, it isn't necessary. Anyone who's added nolva midcycle after not having used any anti e's will tell you they drop quite a bit of water in 2-3 days time......it's pretty clear cut

From personal experince I say yes. With the dosages your talking about your bloat should be minimal.

I don't see how?,.if nolvadex is a weak estrogen itself

Can we get some some data on this.

Yes it is alot of money for a tat bro,.But remember lot of Rappers and Rock stars are getting them from him,and paying a fortune,.Thats why he charges a lot,.

nolva will reduce estrogen by competing with it for the receptor sites. as such it will lessen estrogen-related sides such as bloat especially with such a lite drug regimen. and, as einstein has pointed out, anyone who's tried nolva during their cycle will attest to the fact nolva will get rid off water, get rid of gyno symptoms when caught early enough and will do so within a few days.

imho, for this cycle things like femara and arimi are just plain overkill. some may disagree with me on this point. so be it.

water balloon!

IMHO, I used Nolvadex mid cycle last time, and it really worked wonders for me.
I had never used it before so maybe that was a factor. I don't know. Now I keep it on hand, but don't use it unless I feel something. (like having a f**kin heart attack from all the bloat) J/K LOL. It does seem to limit your gains, water weight, something. So I'd wait until I was a little bloated LOL.
Just my .02 I'm not a anti-est expert. GB

I also think an aromatase inhibitor such as Adex or Femara would be too much (even the Adex at .25mg/day) because his estrogen levels would more than likely get too low. 20mg of Nolva ED will cover you sufficiently, and will be more cost effective than getting Adex or Femara.

Thats what i tought, that they do compete for receptors,.But its hard to believe that it will aleviate bloat, its no a strong anti-e?

What im thinking is ESTROGEN in the body will hold on to water and sodium like a mofo, but if nolva competes for receptors, i still don't see how would it reduce water in the body,.

Compared to Arimedex, will actually suppress estrogen the main cause of water retention and bloat,..

Thanks bro's for good informative posts.

AIs, at the doses we use, and in conjunction with the doses of aromatizable substrate (test) that we have above normal physiological levels, have no chance of reducing estrogen levels to below normal physiological levels. With .25mg/day of Ldex, and using 400-600mg/week of test, you very well could get gyno symptoms, and you damn well will have above normal physiological levels of estradiols. I know guys whose blood test show estradiol well above normal even while using 1mg/day of Ldex with 500mg/wk of test

Our goal (mine anyway) is to control estrogen not inhibit it. The elevated bp that comes with water retention can hinder gains as well, as it can reduce gas exchange and therefore bring on muscular failure earlier than if gas exchange is optimal. Adex has been shown to increase IGF-1 levels. Nolva too, in some studies, has been shown to increase IGF-1 levels. Nolva also has benefits to HDL levels.

Nolva won't raise IGF-1 levels,.Lot of Bodybuilders will stay away from Nolvadex when administering HGH,..Reason being that Tamoxifen shuts down the production of IGF-1,.and it will be a waste of money on the growth.

No, there has been more studies showing nolva raises or doesn't affect IGF-1 than there have been studies showing nolva lowers IGF-1 levels.

Thats kind of weird cuz Chad Nicholls also believes that TAMOXIFEN shuts down IGF-1 production,.and doesn't recommend anyone using it will taking hgh.

Guys, I won't be using any HGH with this being my First Cycle. :D The doses I plan on using are pretty moderate(under 600mgs of Gear per week). My main concern is getting gyno from the HCG I plan on using twice a week throughout the cycle. A protocol that's back by SWALE. I think using Arimidex would be overkill for a cycle, but I could be wrong. I really don't buy into the "Nolvadex hinders gains theory". Think about it. If you taken in the proper amount of calories & protein, why would Nolvadex stop you from gaining lean, muscular bodyweight?? Would 10-20mgs of Nolvadex be enough to combat the "possible" gyno HCG could bring?? What do you think???

stick with 10mg ed as precautionary measure. it should do the trick. increase only if you get symptoms. the low dose of hcg twice a week should not cause you real problems.
