Pinning pecs, lats, etc

I see people here talk about pinning pecs & lats a lot - I’m on my first cycle so pretty new to all of this & nervous to try pecs, lats, etc. Is pinning these areas even okay for guys who are smaller & also lean? A lot of guys on here are huge & have much more experience with training & taking gear so I’m wary of blindly imitating what you guys do. Currently I rotate delts and ventroglutes as these pins go smoothly for me. Any pointers on pinning pecs, lats and other muscles would be appreciated - technique, exact injection sites, etcetera. Thanks in advance.
I find traps by far the easiest to pin. Large muscle, good blood flow, not much nerve tissue.

I tried pinning vastus lateralis one day. Stuck the needle in 3 fucking times and somehow hit a nerve every single time. Gave up and pinned it VG
If the muscle twitches you just came close to a nerve you didn't hit it. Trust me if you actually hit a nerve you'll know... that intense severe pain is pretty obvious.
If it's just a twitch then go a little deeper and inject... no issues. Nerves have a very strong slippery coating, kinda like the coating of a heavy duty wire. The nerve will just slide out if the way for the needle. Unless you're one of those who shoves the needle in like a dart, you'll be fine.

I've been doing this for a while and only did glutes or legs when I was a newbie. Never ever again. It's just not worth it. I like being able to sit down lol. Lats, ventroglutes, the 3 heads of the delt (front, mid, rear), and chest (top, mid, lower at least 1 1/2" above the nipple) are all fine with a 1/2-1" 25g needle. Start off with no more than 1 1/2 cc per muscle group. Even the lats can be divided into upper, mid, and lower for injections.
Start off with no more than 1 1/2 cc as I mentioned then build up from there based on comfort. I'm able to pin 3cc in all locations except the front delt . There I stay with no more then 2cc. I can do 3 but sometimes there's seepage that'll leave a nice bruise.
I also have no issues Injecting upper traps between the head and shoulder. 2ccs there and I make sure if I inject one side I inject the other side the next time. I usually fill my syringe to 4cc then split 2cc in the left trap and the other 2cc in the right... same needle.

Lately I now use insulin needles. I was skeptical about this for quit a while. But to my amazement IM jections this way is amazingly simple. My gear is all brewed with mct oil thats nice and thin. 400mg per mil sustanon and 250mg per mil masteron e. I heat up my vials to make the mct easier to load. I then load 10 syringes at a time... easy.
I do daily IM injections in just about any muscle group with zero pip. Fuck the subq crap. Now daily injections are a piece of cake, even better than eod with those 1" 25g needle. As long as you're not a fat ass this works awesome. I just injected the tear drop muscle of my left quad today with no pip... absolutely ZERO!

You grab your elbow with one hand and pull your arm to the lat and inject with your free hand. 257lbs 5'9" and it's not the easiest but still doable.
dude you're a genius. ive tried so many times to pin my lat but i couldnt quite get it. i was holding my arm in the air like an idiot hoping to get more tissue exposed or some shit.

been having my lady to my lats this whole time...now i can kick her out and do it myself! thanks bud!

also the needle like a dart comment was funny. ironically, my actual doctor told me to do it like that, in the quad as well. she said "firmly grasp the syringe and act like you're throwing a dart!" cant believe i almost did that...

You welcome bud. Ya, I think its crazy how I gotta tell them nurses to not jab that vaccine needle in like a dam dart. I don't know why they get trained this way. You're more likely to at least nick a nerve... that shit hurts for weeks.

I've never done a quad shot though I have attempted at least 20 times over the years. Scary, would not pin.
I tried it twice this past week or two. One went fine but the second I hit a nerve instantly, picked another spot and it went ok but I ended up bruising which has never happened. Will prob slip quads for now unless I really need to.

i find that the VL (about halfway between middle of the muscle and lateral end of it) is pretty safe.

also when you flex the muscle by locking your knee, if its developed enough there's like a relatively sharp peak, almost like one of those toblerone bars, and right at that seam has been pretty ok for me as well.

its def my least favorite of my rotating spots, and always a "well i guess i have to" spot

Same here. I put my hand against my hip bone and make a v sign with two fingers apart. Between the top of the fingers is perfect for me.
That sounds like your ventro glute. Ive attached a video its long but its the video I came across that showed me the spot. Id never even thought of it. But I've never had any bleeding or nicked a vein doing this like with the lower quad

How is the pip with this? I have tried this a few times and pip was not great every time.

Pinning VL hurt the first two times I did it. Then, either I acclimated or my technique got better because now it's one of my favorite spots to pin. No pip and can hold a ton of oil.

I like the skin stretching advice in the video, never thought to do that. Gonna try to incorporate it but fuck that dart tech. I go in slow like a prom night virgin.

So the video showed him going on the top/front of the quad (looks like vastus intermedius) but VL is on the side as so. So do you go on the top/front of the quad, or the side of the quad?

This is where I would expect a VL injection to be:
