Pitavastatin+Bempedoic acid+Ezetimbe really works well.

This is without a pre-auth sir? Just an Rx and the coupon gets it at these prices?

Yes. Just a prescrip, $239 / month (2 pens) is the cash price without getting insurance involved. If you go to Push for a Repatha prescription(or even your own doctor), mention “I’m paying cash for the prescription so don’t need insurance pre-authorization.” so they don’t feel like they’ll get drowned in paperwork.

If you do have insurance pay for it,(requirements are easing all the time), there’s a copay card at Repatha.com that limits your portion to $45 / 3 months.

You can also start on cash pay and switch to insurance later.

I've never seen someone doing these meds only a few times a week. Interesting.

It’s usually done with Rosuvastatin because it has a long half life and for someone with statin sides, it can stop them, and still provide decent (but weaker) LDL reduction. Even 1x / week is better than nothing.

Pitavastatin has a shorter half life so won’t work as well for this, but ultimately the point is getting to your LDL target, which you’ll know after 4 weeks of a certain protocol/dose.

Ezetimibe and Bemp don’t really do well intermittently, and Eze is usually still taken daily with intermittent statin use. After all, Eze doesn’t cause sides in the overwhelming majority and days you don’t take it you’ll be absorbing cholesterol in your gut again, so not ideal.

I've always seen great results from it. Definitely not the typical protocol, but it seems to work for me. I might try ED dosing and see how much the results change, though I don't think it'll be very dramatic.
