popcorn and french toast - diet hacks

Yes, any desire for some goodies is right, this is an incorrectly compiled diet.
Yes, for many people food is a pleasure. For me, it's just fuel. Although I can eat well. But very seldom.
Eating is a habit, as you form it, so be it.
unless you're suffering from depression, i don't really see how food couldn't be a pleasure. you need to enjoy what you eat at least a little, otherwise you wouldn't eat it.
we're biologically hard wired to release dopamine after a meal we enjoy. so i don't think it's about getting pleasure from it or not, i think it's just understanding that food can't always be for pleasure otherwise we'll look like shit. we're lucky enough to be able to control ourselves.

Life's for living and there's absolutely no need to torture yourself and be super strict about food unless you're some sort of male model or you're a pre-comp bodybuilder.

A little luxury ain't gonna kill you or make you look like shit is it bro lol
i used to be like that until one day it hit me - "why the fuck am i eating like a bodybuilder on prep?". these days i refuse to cut my calories too low regardless of how shredded it'll make me because i refuse to suffer. i'd rather just do more cardio.

i'd rather just do more cardio.

It's as simple as that really or maybe just eat lighter for the rest of the day, and just have a whey/oat shake instead of breakfast the next morning, and allsorts of other tricks to compensate for indulging yourself the previous day.
The secret to eating normally and healthily without being too critical with yourself is to just keep everything in moderation and control portion sizes.

I've not got much of a sweet tooth to be honest so my weakness is more for savoury things like mature cheese, the crispy skin on roasted/baked chicken, fattier cuts of meat, full cream milk, butter in mash spuds etc, but if I fancy a Banoffee pie for dessert one day I won't stop myself eating it. I'll just have a small slice though and not the whole pie like some fat greedy pig that can't control his appetite.

I'm just more relaxed about it, and I generally like to eat the same way. Without disruptions, as I get emotions from other sources. And food is just food. It is more important in what environment you take food and with whom.

I am in the same boat here, as I enjoy the simplicity and habit of this. But when I go out for dinner with the wife...man there is a nice big steak or a big plate of Carbonaro coming my way. I just wright it off as a naughty refeed lol.
Excellent option, I also visit with my wife. She is always happy when I eat another write with her in a restaurant.
