Post your back workout

I prefer to keep things simple.

Wide grip chins: to failure
Front pull-downs: 1x12,10,8
Barbell rows: 1x12,10,8,8
Deadlifts: 1x10,8,6,6

This works pretty good for me and you can still move after doing it. =)

That's actually a pretty solid workout. I can't do chins+pulldowns on the same day though.

Nothing beats simple :).

This is your retarded workout, and its not the same; front underhanded grip pull downs are not even close to being the same thing as behind the neck pull downs.
"Pull Up
6 sets of 15 reps

Chin Up
6 sets of 10 reps

Behind-the-neck Pulldowns
4 sets of 15 reps

Barbell Rows
4 sets of 15 reps"

To the one below which I kind of like I would add cable rows to it also.

Barbell rows: 1x12,10,8,8
Deadlifts: 1x10,8,6,6

Mines almost Identical to it except I also hit traps and rear delts same day.

And don't even try and say you're not illiterate. YOU are the one who said "front underhand pulldowns". Ol' boy, whose workout you profess to like, said plain pulldowns to the front. Meaning, most likely, wide grip pulldowns to the chest.

I think I'm to heavy now to do chins effectively :(
About bent rows, do you think it matters if you do them over or underhand? I like underhand a lot better. The movement just seems smoother that way to me.

I use underhand grip up to 275 but anything over that I must use straps, and then go overhand up to 335 for 8 reps.

dumb dick, a chin is overhand and a pull down is underhand to the front.

So now you can chin on a PULLDOWN machine, just by using an overhand grip? :rolleyes: If you say so. But I'll tell you what is really the truth. A PULLDOWN is when you utilize a lat PULLDOWN machine to pull a bar DOWN from above your head.

A pull or chin UP is when you grab a stationary bar and pull your body UP to the bar, you fucking moron!

Yes after 54 posts I'm done, you do your back workout and I'll do mine. Because after 25 years of liftin' I know what works best for me..

That's fine, but you still need to concede that you made several erroneous posts. You need to rescind your statement that the biceps are recruited more with an overhand grip and you need to appologize for confusing newbies about the definition of a pulldown and a chin.

The only thing I will concede is the chin statement I made on a pull down machine otherwise everything else I said I believe to be 100% true. Because when I do pulldowns there is very very minimal if any bicep recruitment involved. There happy now. Now kiss Role Models Big toe and learn.

I will just continue to say your doing them wrong then, because when you pull down with your lats like your suppose to; at most 5% bicep recruitment. If you think this statement is wrong, then you're doing them wrong; plain and simple Mr. Science.
Thats like saying you have more bicep recruitment doing Skull Crushers than tricep extensions, WHO Gives a shit, either way your not hitting your biceps.

Your doing them wrong then if its higher. In fact theres also some tricep recruitment with underhand pull downs if your doing them correct.
