Whats the best way to get shoulders
back and down? A nice straight posture.

is it a tightness in my chest?
My back needs to be strengthened?

i have been stretching everyday.

I think just being really aware of your positioning. You have to make a conscious effort
This. It is a habit for sure. One that you constantly have to fight to maintain. I have spent years practicing and still catch myself slouching, ESPECIALLY when others around me slouch. We have a habit if mimicking other peoples body language, and almost everyone has shitty posture.

I used to have my shoulder rolled forward until I strengthened my middle and upper back muscles.

from what I understand, it is having an over developed chest and/or under developed rhomboids delts and traps. As my mid back continues to get stronger. I notice my shoulders being my rolled back

Cross bench pullovers with a big emphasis on the stretch to open you up.

Then superset into "superman's". Try to work up to using weights in your hand when you lift them up into the air. I don't know how to describe them if you don't know what that are, you'll have to google an image.

Bird dogs can be helpful too if you slouch lower in the back. You just have to learn how to do them right. Keep a tight back through the whole range of motion.

I agree that good posture is something that needs to be constantly worked on if you don’t have it naturally. I have bad posture and am reminded of it every time I pass by a mirror, especially in the gym. I get pissed every time I see myself slouching- my father had horrible posture and that’s how I see myself and fight against every fucking day! Little pot gut and humped over shoulders. I have even told a few of my coworkers to yell “pick your head up Bobby” when they see me slouching walking through the shop lol.

Yes i feel the same way lol. When passing the mirror. Going to try this,

strengthen back upper and middle.
Stretch concentrating on posture work.
Core, incorporate core 3x a week seperately.
Be consciously aware.

Ever since I started doing a lot more upper back work mine are slowly correcting themselves. I also try to be conscious about my posture when I can. The guy that was just coaching me said he has basically all of his lifters train back in some way every time they step in the gym. He trains a lot of high level benchers and he said most of them rarely have shoulder issues since he started doing that.

I’ve considered trying one of these out. I always thought it was a back/chest imbalance for me, but my back is stronger and more developed than my push muscles for sure, so that can’t be it.
I have a hard time remembering to use it. I find it does get me more conscious getting shoulders back it also gives some compression on the bicep tendon too. It has helped for what its worth. Just have to use consistently

So from doing core i see a difference.

going to start upping my yoga even more.

its probably 10% better than it was.
