Powerlifting with a Legend

Nice setup - I wish my gym had that. Just three reps? I guess this is purely PL type strength training? Any recommendations for hypertrophy?
I wish I could recommend something for hypertrophy. This is just one side of the gym. It's not big. But two monolift three racks tree benches. All the specialty bars for lifting you'd want. Two prowlers. And Goggins himself. The gym is only open to the team at the moment. He does boot camp and beginner powerlifting classes.
 
Was that the 405 she was repping on rack pulls? Impressive
495. She's a beast. If you see her she looks average. She was pulling 365 for triples before the rack pulls.
Yo @franchise24 did you use an app to do the face blur on your video? If so which app? Would like to be able to do that to share some videos with the gang here on meso.
I had to upload them to my YouTube account and then there's an option for auto blur I think and manual blur. But I placed the videos so they aren't available to be seen my anyone but me. Basically I didn't publish them.

It took me all year to find a way to blur the face lol.

I'll be squatting in a few hours. I'll post up workout and tweaks and what ever else he has me do.

He was excited that I dropped my bars off yesterday. Especially the Eleiko Powerlifting comp bar. So excited he posted it on his Instagram. He said he will use the bar for meets on bench. He also tag the Texas Squat and deadlift bar that drop off.
 
First pic top left is my Eleiko bar. I drop the competition collars off as well.

I asked him if it would beneficial to squat occasionally single ply briefs. He said let's see your squat work on it and take it from there. My fucking hips constantly need to be worked on. Lol. Screenshot_20170910-092558.png

Comp Squat:
385 10X3
275 2x5

Leg Press 4 set till failure with a blue heavy band hooked up to it.

Right now he is feeling me out. He noticed how tight my hips are didn't want to go any heavier than that. Just want me to sink into the hole and start getting a feeling for my depth and when to come up. Also was sought like a pause squat. Working on getting my hips to open up with banded later walks. Or monster walks.

The my working weights I posted up to is what I believe it was. Not use to kilo plates and I wasn't going to break out the calculate to convert the weight.

So 3 Red 25 kilo plates on each side. For the 10x3 with a 55 pound bar and and comp collars.

Then 2 Red 25 kilo plates each with a 5 kilo on each side and 55 pound bar and comp collars. Each collar is like 2.5 kilos or some shit.

Oh Cues to fix some form issues. Break at my hips. I have been breaking with my knees and going straight down. Also to keep my gaze just a few feet in front of me instead of at the wall straight in front of me. Kept me from leaning forward. Got me out of .75 heel Oly shoes and let me where a pair of his Adidas ironworks I think they were called. About 0.5 wood heel. I love them. Hope I can find them online in my size.
 
Another squat cue. That just got back to me. I usually use my low back to unrack the bar when squatting.

Squat rack was set to height to where I was told to set up my hips under the bar already and squeeze my glutes through like a deadlift to unpack the bar saving me energy and less stress on my lower back. So far I am loving this. I know this will all take time. But I am excited and I will be competing still December 16th.

Everytime I see this threads title I think 'oh damn, a thread about me!' And then I realize that I'm not a really strong man and I wake up!!!

This tough for me. Since I am new there Goggins has me sticking to just three times a week and shutting me down early, after working on form. LOL. Tuesday is bench day. I am use to more work. But we have the December 16th meet that we will be prepping for. Definitely a great opportunity. There is USAPL elite lifter in the 168 class. Pulled 677 at a meet squatted over 6 and hit 374 bench. Dude is a beast. Tony Walton. Then Goggins has another elite In Perry Ellis. He's a SHW but here is a beast. I haven't seen him at the gym yet but here lives in this area. I have no way to go up being around all these elite guys and learning from them.

It's going to make a huge difference training with these guys! Not just the programming but the atmosphere. You're like me, used to training alone and when you're able to get in there with people stronger and just as hungry as you, it makes a huge difference. When I started pulling with a team my strength and mental focus was unreal! You will be hitting heavier weights than normal just from the atmosphere! Congrats on the opportunity brother and good luck!

Thanks brother. Definitely like you. I've trained by myself for years. But with this atmosphere and these elite level lifters giving me pointers and getting coached by Goggins. I'm fucking hungry.

He has me on a short leash. He watches me lift has made corrections and my squat and Deadlift and then shut me down. Right it's all about watching me and fixing my flaws in technique.

I'm loving it!!!
