Pre employment physical and blood test can show raised test levels?

Okay so Many companies in my industry have you do a physical where they include blood tests. It's supposedly to check to see if your healthy (cholesterol, etc.).

This is a pre employment physical blood test. Will evidence of steroid use show up? (Test, tren)

I am not asking whether or not a URINALYSIS will show steroids, I know this is not the case. I'm specifically asking for a pre employment physical with a blood test. Would they ever have any reason to run a hormone profile?

Surely someone else has been in this situation that can help shed some light.

I searched and most of the threads are just about urine tests.

Never ever heard of blood being required for a job interview. I'm overseen by federal regulations that are tough and they don't require that

It's not really part of the interview, it's more part of the physical once they have pretty much already made an offer.

It's to make sure you are healthy (is what they say).

As has been said, there shouldn't be any reason for them to run a hormone panel.

Bear in mind though, that what you are running can affect the health makers they should be checking. Lipids/cholesterol, RBC, liver and kidney enzymes etc. So it could still potentially hurt you.

True. But do you think hey would actually start to connect the dots?

And would go as far as to say that it would be reccomended to end my cycle 2 months before the physical? Or is that just being paranoid?

I work in the oil patch in canada and get tested fairly frequently.and gear has nothing to do with what they check for on us.only recreational drugs.dont know if that helps ya or not

Probably not. They might think you're unhealthy though.

I'd probably just continue on with your plans if it were me. Unless we're talking life changing dream job or some shit. Then I might pause. Or at least get private bloods done first for peace of mind.

Many FT employment opportunities include life and/or health insurance as a "benefit" and the underwriters are interested in identifying certain high risk HEALTH GROUPS, such as DM, advanced ASCVD RF, CA etc.

The info collated is highly confidential and is used primarily for actuarial purposes.

I've conducted pre-employment H&Ps that is followed by lab assays on multiple occasions and have NEVER had I company query about screening for AAS

Heck you get free blood work and the risk approximates ZERO!

While MANY recreational drugs can adversely effect coordination, strength, cognition and rational thought AAS just is NOT one of them.

It's for that reason AAS screening is an absolute waste of money.

Heck few labs even have the capability for quantitative or qualitative AAS testing anyway

I'm regulated by this same Damn organization. The latest attempt to ruin people's lives in this industry is the big sleep apnea lie.

Ya they tried last time. I can see they were upset they weren't able to get me. A neck that big must suffer from apnea right? Assholes

what gets me is the doctors lying saying it's the law when in fact congress passed a law that says basically quite the opposite.

For instance, I went into a doctors office and on the counter it had a notice stating that if your bmi was over 35 they are regulated to make you go get tested for sleep apnea to maintain your class a drivers license. On the contrary congress passed a law stating they couldn't force them to get this test due to bmi alone. There had to be other indicators such as high bp, excessive snoring, etc.
