Probably in relation to its glucocorticoid receptor antagonism, meaning it's anti catabolic effects. That specific benefit may see diminished returns past a low dose, but it's anabolic effects are likely to benefit by doses significantly higher than 50mg/week.

Probably because it's the human studied/approved dose (76 mg tren hex = 50mg net trenbolone every ten days, in women). And there are still beneficial effects with very few few side effects - in my case improved feed efficiency, nutrient partitioning, and metabolic enhancement.
Ive used it up to 350mg/wk (so a respectable but not an excessively high dose) and overall tolerate it fine but still had a plethora of unwanted effects - insomnia requiring quetiapine, high sweats, hypersexuality, inorgasmia requiring caber, etc. And I really didn't look that much different at the higher dose. SoI've stayed on lower doses 5-10mg/day, rarely 20mg/day for brief periods.
