I was curious what your thoughts would be on running a few 0 carb days a week on reta. I do enjoy your big brain reta posts and was happy you specifically did not call me developmentally disabled!
You can run zero carb infinitely on reta. As long as you're hitting your protein for the day, your body will make enough glucose to power your brain and organs. Whether it can make enough BG to fuel muscle expenditure and growth at BB levels is a discussion I'll leave to the broscientists to yell at each other about (but I will say it's hard to teach old dogs new tricks).

The real danger with reta is eating too many carbs. Eating like a 90s powerlifter on vacation confuses your body - you're telling it to make more sugar but also cramming it in - and you run the risk of hyperglycemia at the end of the day, blowing out your pancreas overnight pumping out a ton of insulin to clear it out, and waking up hypoglycemic. I don't think there's much danger at 300, 400 maybe, but that will depend on your history of insulin sensitivity/resistance.

Some days I hit 250g easy, some days I'm at zero. BG stays pretty consistent.

There's no tolerance to Reta (or Sema or Tirz) any more than there is to other hormones like insulin or Testosterone, When you get the homeostasis weight that dose established, which is what GLP does, appetite suppression slows then stops. If you stayed at that dose and somehow regain 10 lbs appetite suppression would return until you go back down.
Interesting. Thank you for the reply!

Cool that pretty much confirms my thoughts on the zero carb days. I know it definitely won’t help maintain performance in the gym on a cut but I’ve done it plenty during previous diets and only my pressing movements suffer, which is to be expected. I figure if anything the increased gluconeogenesis should give me a leg up over what I’ve done in the past.

Idk if I’d even be able to get down 400 carbs on the 2mg I’m on now, we’ll see how much the appetite suppression fades. I am looking forward to using it during my reverse diet though, that’s where I’m most likely to go full window taster.

I've been taking Reta for about 8 weeks. I titrated up aggressively starting at 4mg. Currently @ 10mg every 5 days. Why every 5 days you ask? Because by day 6 I start noticing cravings, not hunger for food in general, just junk food cravings. My diet consists of about 5 different things. Protein shakes, Chicken, Fish, Steak, and once a week I eat something with carbs in it. I just don't crave it all. I also drink a lot of electrolytes as well. Seems to help with energy and hydration. I get 0 side effects from the Reta which is nice. It's really helped me chose what I want to put in my body instead of garbage. My protein intake is around 150 to 200g daily. Calorie intake is around 12 to 1500.

In the gym, I notice that lifting heavy is way more taxing, especially on CNS. I switched to a higher rep lower weight style of lifting concentrating on ROM and deep stretching. I have no issues crushing workouts still and have actually gained muscle. Not a lot, but it did go up.

Biggest thing for me is the unreal targeting of visceral fat. Almost like its targeting that first and foremost.

Sounds like a good problem to have. I’ve been a 3 pump chump for round one since starting trt/hcg 6 months ago and trying to find the cure
Seriously though, cardio was the biggest factor in this for me. Once my heart was pounding faster than I was, it was game over. As someone who gets off on his lady getting off, that shit sucked. Now that my cardio is exponentially better, I’ll still pop early if I’ve been gone for a while but I almost have control over it more often than not. She’s usually on 3 or 4 before I’m done. No idea what your cardio is like, but if it’s dog shit I’d start there.

Im glad im a hypersponder to reta. I was able to do a full cut on 3mg (1000 cal deficit, no food noise whatsoever), transitioned to a lean bulk and lowered my reta dose to .5mg and still barely eating at maintaince. I had to drop it all together

That's a bummer, for me it has been the exact opposite. Turned into Ron Jeremy. I also do a low dose daily cialis which in my experience helps.

My cardio is definitely awful. I mean I'll do my daily 12k steps religiously but if I try to jog I get way too out of breath after a few minutes. Maybe this could be my cure??

I also take daily cialis (10mg) mostly for nasty pumps in the gym but it's been nice being able to get a hard on within a second of my girl looking at me in a certain way.

Definitely wish I could last longer but thankfully with trt + cialis after round 1 is over I can bounce back for round 2 pretty fast and that's when I actually last a respectable amount of time (30 seconds).

If only there was a peptide for this shit

Hell yeah borther keep that hog cranked!

So with the cialis for pumps. What stops you from getting hard at the gym. Never taken one.

Lidocaine spray... :D

Why stop from getting hard? That how I get machine squatters to finish their set and move. I think it's the eye contact at the same time that gets them moving
Oh yeah thats true. Good thinking. Keeps the teenagers from finishing their sets on IG.

Worth a shot, and you should be doing it anyway tbh. Zone 2 cardio is your friend. I do incline treadmill every day at a brisk pace for 30-45 minutes. Normally shoot for ~135bpm. Yes, it is fucking mind numbingly boring. No, it does not get more enjoyable. YMMV.
