Unfortunately, you have more guys on here who aren’t understanding, or are on board with this than not. That’s really been what “domestic” is supposed to represent over “cheap Chinese gear” right?
Otherwise, it’s just paying a large premium to avoid the risk of getting a customs letter. That may matter if someone’s in a rush, on probation or in a sensitive job, but for anyone else, it’s not really worth it.
I agree, close to what a tiny mom & pop one man compounding pharma can produce is reasonable and within reach.
I’ll add I think the hardware upgrade is commendable and a real step in the direction of harm reduction. Users may not “feel” it, but the fact is every pharma injectable has to prove no harmful chemicals leach from the container into the liquid. Raw bromobutyl rubber is not compatible with oils, especially MCT, while EO and BB are even worse when contacting raw rubber. On top of this, the rubber being used by UGL is generally cheap, non-FDA approved Chinese junk that’s even more prone to turning into mush, and who knows what chems they might be using cut costs. Keeping this crap out of your body is a good thing, period.
Staying out of the primo issue, one final note.
Awareness of oil oxidation is just getting rolling, and I’m not making any excuses for any vendor. However, it’s important to keep in mind we’ve only recently gotten the ability to identify this problem, and only with the minority of vendors that have GCMS data available. I wouldn’t want anyone to get the impression a single vendor is having this issue (especially when they provide the GCMS data) and others (that don’t have GCMS data) have good oil, because I’m pretty sure they’re all slinging oxidized gear. I’ve seen evidence that what’s being sold as “pharma” grade oils to vendors trying to do the right thing is not what’s being represented by the oil sellers. Oil fraud is very common. The best way to avoid this is sticking with reputable brands that come with a COA showing the peroxide value for that batch. Shedding light on this at every opportunity should eventually squash this issue as customers and vendors become aware of this avoidable health risk and only real pharma injectable grade, oxidation resistant oils become the norm, just like small compounding pharmacies use.
Im curious now. I have a stopper from a source on another board that has oil on top whenever I grab it to pin. How does this mean there is toxins in my oil? Also I had my CRP tested 8.1 and I’m 99% sure there is no EO in my oil. A lot of other people love this source. Any insight would be appreciated.Unfortunately, you have more guys on here who aren’t understanding, or are on board with this than not.
Social media has turned a harm reduction board, into which source is my “bro” with the cheapest gear.
Guys are more worried about finding primo over systemic inflammation.
Every time I have a swelling stopper that’s leaking oil, my thought is, how many toxins leeched into the oil. These guys will call you science nerds and say you’re focused on insignificant things. lol.
How are you 99% sure of this?? Have you tested the product yourself? I just had a HSCRP of 9.1 and I just had a major shoulder surgery so I would say that you have some pretty significant things going on inside your body I would want to figure that out ASAPIm curious now. Merely having this thought isn't what makes someone a nerd.Every time I have a swelling stopper that’s leaking oil, my thought is, how many toxins leeched into the oil. These guys will call you science nerds and say you’re focused on insignificant things. lol.

EO
Maybe they decided to use cooking oil and EO to brew. Nobody knows really.
Either way happy thanksgiving guys.
The source was used by many with no complaints. Also there was testing provided from source. How are you 99% sure of this?? Have you tested the product yourself? Needle I use to draw is 23g, my LDL tested at 56. I have bloods on the 13th of December coming up.What size needle are you using? That could just be oil coming out when you withdraw the needle.
That CRP is bad news. Do you have any previous numbers to compare? Any idea what your LDL is?
It could be from a number of things, the gear is only one.
Usually a single test like that is followed by a retest a couple weeks later to see if the problem is persistent or it was just a temporary flare up.
I’m thinking maybe because I had a very heavy/high volume leg day and hihh volume back day before the test. What size needle are you using? That could just be oil coming out when you withdraw the needle.

Could my reasoning be the cause of high CRP? Or unlikely and there’s another issue?Just be aware if your LDL >70, and that CRP continues to be elevated, you’re doing cardiovascular damage at warp speed. It’s a terrible combo.

Pretty sure you should avoid heavy lifting before test day. Or any strong workout for that matter as it affects valuesCould my reasoning be the cause of high CRP? Or unlikely and there’s another issue?
Is it only EO that could do that? Or are there other things it could be? When I get it tested again should I stop training days before hand? What do you recommend? It could be. I’ve had shit gear send my CRP >10

fwiw, I use china oil and my hsCRP came back at 0.2.
