Alright thanks guys :)

Ya I see Messy's busy and I'm sure he'll be back soon.

To add to this thread - and I have made this distinction a few times in the past, I just don't remember which thread(s).

There is a cheaper way to get a hormone panel THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE 1500 CAP ON TESTOSTERONE done, than privatemdlabs.com, EVEN WITH THE 15% OFF COUPON.

The hormone panel that has the uncapped testosterone levels at privatemdlabs is $99 before coupon ---> $85 after 15% off coupon.

But, labsmd dot com has a $73 hormone panel for females (this is still the one that all of us guys use as it is much cheaper than the male panel) THAT WILL GIVE YOU the uncapped test levels. Granted, labsmd does not do coupons, but they are both owned by the same company!

What you are looking for when seeking the UNCAPPED TESTOSTERONE levels is that the lab is using the LC/MS/MS method for testing, as this yields the actual testosterone level, not just ">1500".

The description below (you'll see the LC/MS/MS method) is from labsmd dot com.

THE ONLY CATCH IS THAT PRIVATEMDLABS USES LABCORP.

AND LABSMD USES QUEST DIAGNOSTICS.

Description:
***Both MALES and FEMALES order this panel, please be sure to enter the gender that you want reference ranges for when placing your order, as each gender has different reference ranges for these tests. ***
Menopause is the time in a woman's life when menstruation stops permanently. Most women go through menopause between ages 45 and 55. In the US the average age for menstrual periods to stop completely is 51.

This panel will help diagnose the onset of menopause.
Significant deviations from the normal range may require further evaluation by your physician.

Includes:
-Complete Blood Count / CBC (includes Differential and Platelets): WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW, Platelet Count, MPV and Differential (Absolute and Percent - Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Monocytes, Eosinophils, and Basophils)
-Comprehensive Metabolic Profile ( includes eGFR ): Albumin, Albumin/Globulin Ratio (calculated), Alkaline Phosphatase, ALT, AST, BUN/Creatinine Ration, Calcium, Carbon Dioxide, Chloride, Creatinine with GFR Estimated, Globulin (calculated), Glucose, Potassium, Sodium, Total Bilirubin, Total Protein, Urea Nitrogen
-Estradiol
-Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
-Luteinizing Hormone (LH)
-Testosterone Total LC/MS/MS (This testosterone test will also provide results when the total testosterone value is >1500.)

Patient Instructions: Patient should fast for 12 hours preceding collection of specimen. If using a testosterone cream please be sure you have not rubbed any into the antecubital area of your arm for the last 24 hours as it can give elevated results.

Thanks for the info @bickel29 and there's 2 Quest locations in my town so that's no issue going with labsmd.

$73 is a steal I'd say for that panel anyhow. Gonna try this again as I had a test done 5 months ago and was DENIED for TRT

Thanks for the info Bick. But in my neck of the woods private labs TT doesn't cap off at 1500. The cap I believe is region or state specific.
But hell if quest (labsmd) is cheaper, I'm all for it.

My pleasure, strongsafety.

Yeah, it is weird how it changes in some regions. But all the guys that come back here disappointed bc they got the dreaded ">1500" went thru privatemdlabs and not labsmd.

Strange...

Btw, hope you're doing great strongsafety!

I hear you man. I remember guys getting that "TT >1500 on labs.
I actually wasted money on the first go round with privatelabs md and paid for the specific LC/MS instead of female hormone panel. The next time I got the female hormone panel and to my surprise it showed my actual TT value instead of TT >1500. Blind luck on this end but been doing it that way every since.

I'm doing well my friend, things are nice and smooth these days. How are things on your end?

I'm doing well, thanks bickel.

I'm on the newsletter email list but accidentally deleted the last email they sent for December discount code. I tried to retrieve it from my trash folder but it wasn't in there.

I would like to get blood drawn this week so hopefully they'll send another email or I could sign up a new email and maybe they'll send the newsletter instantly. Do you remember how long it usually takes to get the first email from them after singing up?

I'll sign up again and see what happens.

subb'd thank for the info!

RT, my boy, if you mean you are subb'd to the monthly info that Messy use to send out, you'll have to start looking on your own. Messy has been busy lately, and has not been keeping this thread updated.

And to be clear, when I say Messy has been busy, that's not code talk for anything. I talked to him a week or two ago and he is doing great, just not as active for now.
