Hi .I am a novice as to putting thought into my excersice program at the gym .I am trying to follow the 5x5 program and still learning technique of movement .This is my problem .I started all this a 140 in exellent shape and now have added weight to 153 .I feel like I am in a cage as to stretchability from the extra weight gain and muscle build up [the whole gym comments on my new look ] in such a short period .My stomach has also taken a beating as it was always the best part of my makeup .Can anyone suggest when and how often I should include stomach excersices in my 5 day work out.

Baja. Aren't you using anabolics? I'm no expert. But, I think everyone here is going to suggest that you lay off the juice until you get your program dialed in.
 
i wouldnt train abs much. They get a massive amount of work from squats deadlifts. I thinks it more down to diet for seeing abs than anything else. Have you changed your diet and cardio recently
 
I won't comment on the anabolic part, as I haven't the time for a diatribe based on only CyniQ's hunch.

Glad to see you are implementing a solid routine, and realizing that thought/structure must be used to further yourself. As for the abs, I have to say it depends. If you are at a beginner to intermediate level of strength, then hitting them with squats and deads is fine.

However, once you reach a certain workload, you need to train your core. Once I started squatting in the 400's I had back problems. I threw in some heavy incline situps and good mornings, and the problems cessated. And by heavy, I don't mean cable crunches with some weight. I mean true sets of 5. I use 135lbs on my chest for incline situps, and would do more, if not for the inability to control that much weight. I don't say that to brag, but I want to get across the point that your abs are STRONG, and should be trained like any other muscle.
 
Thankyou for the direction guys .Yes I have decided to lay off the juice for many reasons.On my first cycle I was feeling so strong and really pushing myself to the limit in the gym and one night I woke up with a huge panic attack walked around sucked it up went back to bed and woke up feeling great .I have never had any thing like this in my life and it felt like hell on earth and scared the chit out of me .Second reason to hold off on another cycle has been pointed out .I no chit about how to work out proper in the gym and need to learn this before juice .Third is I just learned how to eat and I will get fat if I dont learn how to dial my intake in .Forth the dam acne really is gross .I understand now wut gains I want [or the look ]If this makes sinse I want to build muscle and change it by doing very very very high cardio workouts .I know now I want the lean defined non bulk look as I am only 5.9 and it makes me look taller not to have the bulk .Anyway man the stomach well be a problem with this new direction and weight gain .The squatting is going great but was hard at first as i have lost both of my collar bones on both sides ...both are steel ..both were shattered beyond repair ....but all is going great and I am blessed with a great back ...I have been a freak for years as to high cardio output and now I see wut u guys like about the gym ...its the same buzz .....Oh and the strangest thing is I have been off juice now for about 4 weeks and still have huge power in the gym .I think it has to do with my muscle build up or something ....point is all natural can work too sometimes we just need a push
