Any plans to use a peristaltic pump + capsule filter? When I used to brew, that shit was a fucking game changer. Sold out right now, and they're WAY more expensive than I remember them being. But wow do they fucking work well.
There are threads about using it but I hear it can get messy and good for big volumes but I would like to learn more about this

Yeah can get a tad messy but nothing crazy. The reason I ended up trying it out was I got fucking tired of my vaccuum pump and how fucking noisy it was. So I thought I'd give the peristaltic pump a shot with the capsule filter. I was in awe at how quick and quiet it was.

I would get bottletop filters from the link Sampei posted above; looks more reputable, imo.

I don't understand why ppl are trying to complicate this shit so much. I mean I'm gonna use bottle top filter only because I can't bother with syringe filters, but for a normal person brewing for himself syringe filters are plenty!
We have gone from syringe filters to capsule filters lol

ya the losses on a few hundred ml's batch vs many liters at a time is significant. getting into hydraulic pumpage vs using vacuum or pneumatic pressure to filter is a huge step up in feedstock volumes.

I see. Well, that disc filter example may not be sterile, but they do offer sterile, individually packaged disc filters. Since that was your only comment, I assume the rest of the setup is GTG. It seems not a bad way to go for $150, as long as you don't mind sterilizing the glass. Just another option anyway.
The sterile disc they offer are not PTFE 99.9% they are cellulose or some other not ok filter for what we do.

Sorry guys not trying to complicate. I figured peristaltic pump + capsule filter would be in the same league as cryofreezer / dropping 8k on home brewing stuff lol.
When I brewed I just went overboard with the filtration setup mostly out of desire to experiment. But for sure agree, no one needs anything more than syringe filters

Although I like the look of this company. Unfortunately for me, (TX) the shipping is more than the product.So I have found a company on Alibaba that produce PTFE bottle top filter at a spectacular price and MOQ is not too high either.
I'm talking that for the price of 24 pcs of KS-TEK 250ml
You buy 96 pcs of 250ml filters.
I'll try them out and let you know how's the quality etc.
For the pump an electric no oil needed vacuum pump is that superior in general to a simple manual break bleeding kit?
I mean is it worth 5x the price?

Cryofreezer is the shit! But it doesn't complicate anything you turn it on and then place 10 years of HGH inside of it
