Hello. Tell me, please. I can't find the option to select the PTFE filter material, there are PES everywhere in the pictures. Did you have to order a PTFE filter through private messages? Thank you.Edited the first post

They have bottletop filter PTFE 250/500/1000ml prices are super cheap 75$ for 24pcs of 250ml MOQ should be 2 or 4boxes.
Any plans to use a peristaltic pump + capsule filter? When I used to brew, that shit was a fucking game changer. Pushing rather than pulling is best way to describe. https://www.medical-and-lab-supplie...sule-filter-0-2um-ptfe-sterile-6700-3602.htmlI found it in the PVDF page but if you can't select it, send them a private message. There are threads about using it but I hear it can get messy and good for big volumes but I would like to learn more about thisAny plans to use a peristaltic pump + capsule filter? Sold out right now, and they're WAY more expensive than I remember them being. But wow do they fucking work well.
Yeah can get a tad messy but nothing crazy. The reason I ended up trying it out was I got fucking tired of my vaccuum pump and how fucking noisy it was. So I thought I'd give the peristaltic pump a shot with the capsule filter. I was in awe at how quick and quiet it was. There are threads about using it but I hear it can get messy and good for big volumes but I would like to learn more about this

Quick search pulled this up: 0.2 Micron Hydrophobic Ptfe Capsule Air Filter - Buy Ptfe Capsule Air Filter,Capsule Air Filter,0.2 Micron Ptfe Capsule Air Filter Product on Alibaba.com
I have no idea. Full disclosure: I just found the link. You'll have to DYOR for further info. I used to get mine from MedLabSupply. Are these Chinese filters quality same as Zapcap brand? Even bottle tops?
you need to sterilize the membrane too, that's not a sterile membraneIs there anything wrong with this setup other than the need to sterilize the glass each time?

I don't understand why ppl are trying to complicate this shit so much. I mean I'm gonna use bottle top filter only because I can't bother with syringe filters, but for a normal person brewing for himself syringe filters are plenty!Capsule filters are for 10L+ volume at a time.
UGL hardware, not for the average brewer
I see. Well, that disc filter example may not be sterile, but they do offer sterile, individually packaged disc filters. Since that was your only comment, I assume the rest of the setup is GTG. It seems not a bad way to go for $150, as long as you don't mind sterilizing the glass. Just another option anyway.you need to sterilize the membrane too, that's not a sterile membrane
The sterile disc they offer are not PTFE 99.9% they are cellulose or some other not ok filter for what we do.I see. Gotcha. I was just curious why I hadn't seen anyone post that option. Thanks for the info. The sterile disc they offer are not PTFE 99.9% they are cellulose or some other not ok filter for what we do.

Sorry guys not trying to complicate. I figured peristaltic pump + capsule filter would be in the same league as cryofreezer / dropping 8k on home brewing stuff lol.I don't understand why ppl are trying to complicate this shit so much. We have gone from syringe filters to capsule filters lol
Although I like the look of this company. Unfortunately for me, (TX) the shipping is more than the product. So I have found a company on Alibaba that produce PTFE bottle top filter at a spectacular price and MOQ is not too high either.
I'm talking that for the price of 24 pcs of KS-TEK 250ml
You buy 96 pcs of 250ml filters.
I'll try them out and let you know how's the quality etc.
For the pump an electric no oil needed vacuum pump is that superior in general to a simple manual break bleeding kit?
I mean is it worth 5x the price?
Edit:
Link of the company.

When I brewed I just went overboard with the filtration setup mostly out of desire to experiment. But for sure agree, no one needs anything more than syringe filters
