Pubescent Gyno/puffiness

My son is very athletic, he's not a couch potato and is not overweight starting a year ago, he has accumulated fatty tissue and/or puffiness around both nipples. They look like small breasts but there are no lumps or anything. Obviously he is self-conscious about that.

We took him to an endocrinologist and his bloodwork is fine, everything within normal range. However, when we asked her about SERMs or DHT cream she said it would not help, that the DHT cream would convert to estrogen and make it worse. Hello, idiot, steroid guy here, I KNOW DHT doesn't convert to estrogen. She would not admit her mistake and she said really the only thing we could do is either wait or have elective surgery (i.e. insurance would not cover this).

So the question is, what would be best to use to treat this. We are going to another endo and I want to make sure we are more proactive in telling the doctor the issue rather than hoping the doctor will just have experience treating the condition. Is DHT Cream the better option (Andractim) or a SERM (like Nolvadex or Roloxifene)?

I think a serm would be a better choise simply because dht cream is suppressive and serms block the estrogen receptor in the breast tissue so thats the best medication for that purpose. Good luck mate

Lots of pubescent gyno will resolve itself and I'm talking like a very high percentage. I wouldn't put my young son on serm but that's just me and I don't have children so take with a grain of salt.

^ I wouldn’t throw drugs at it yet. It’s got plenty of time to resolve, as embarrassed as he might be currently.

Ok. He’ll be 17 in November. Late bloomer. I never have estrogen sides so this is new to me. I just want to see what other guys may have experienced before we talk to the next endo. If it’s something they typically don’t treat then that’s worth knowing as well. It was weird that she jumped directly to elective surgery.

I maintain that endos are absolute shit tier unless they’re specialists.

How old is your son?

I had prebuscent gyno in my right nipple.

Sorry I caught up and seen your last post.

In my case it resolved itself over the course of about 2ish years from my memory. The only time I'd ever noticed anything different between my two nipples after that was when I had gotten down to around 10 to 12% body fat around 28yo and it was just my right nipple was ever so slightly puffier than my left nipple, no one else noticed it not even my GF at the time, even after I pointed it out she still maintained that she couldn't tell on a glance. But when I was 14 the right nipple was huge in comparison to my left and by 18 it was all but gone.

Fast forward to my first test cycle in my early 30s and that sumbitch came roaring back from outta nowhere. Now I'm stuck with noticeable gyno in my right nipple and nothing at all in my left. The gyno in my right nipple is why I've been hesitant to cut down too much cause I'm scared of how noticeable it would become but I've cut 30lbs the past 2 months and it's actually become less noticeable. I think a large portion of the puffiness was fat deposits and now that I'm leaning down it's just the tissue that's left.

Funny thing though I can blast out of my mind into orbit on test and my left nipple doesn't even get itchy.

My wife and I have an agreement that after we but our house that we will both get breast work done lol. She's gonna go up to a size "C" and I'm gonna get ny one "A" cup removed :D

That’s similar to what everyone has been saying. It just sort of takes care of itself. It’s all brand new to me because I never seem to have estrogen related sides. The stupid endocrinologist though. Holy crap. I guess they just feed people a line of shit to get them off that train of thought.

Good luck with the breast transplant. :)

DRs aren’t bright, when I asked my endo for nandrolone, he asked ME “what’s that?” My son is 7 and just got himself some puffy nipples, I’m banking on that resolving, my nephew had them at 13 and they resolved within a year. I guess it’s the new normal.

I never understood how women have the audacity to deal with males and their hormones, stick to your lane... there's no women endos that can understand the male hormonal system close hand.

My take on this (currently doing my PhD in bio) that a SERM would be the immediate short term solution until you can figure out if it's due to extra aromatization from the fatty tissue or not.

I had it at that age. I just bought nolvadex to start treatment. Using AAS didnt really make it that much worse, but a little.
Mine didnt go away, but i had hard lumps from 15-26. Then i used AAS, going to do nolva for a while. Hope it helps.

But his most likely will resolve with time.

It will not help. Nolva works only if you catch it on time. After a while the only way to remove gyno is surgery.

i got gyno removed surgically and the fat went away too and never came back…

so, hes 17 not 2yo, ask him “would you like to do gyno surgery?” and see… Obv i mean “gyno surgery” if needed, or “nipples plastic whatever” “nipples liposuction” “bitch tits no more surgery”

Doing gyno surgery on a 17yo makes no sense. The gyno will most likely resolve itself. Definetly worth waiting few more years, especially if the boy is fit so the gyno is mostly caused by a normal hormonal imbalance that happens to many young adult during those years.
