putting on mass with high reps and low weight

I constantly change my workouts and rep range to keep the body guessing. The body gets used to the same routine. Right now I hit muscles twice a week doing a chest,shoulders,tris, day. Back bi day. And a leg day then repeat. 6 day split. First 3 days I do 5x5 then next 3 high reps 12-15. I love it. I really feel those high rep days and it keeps me from hitting plateau.
 
I am not getting any younger as well so I am contemplating going the lower weight higher rep scheme for squats and deads now that i have another nasty knee injury to deal with. When my right knee heals i plan to go light weights so I can rehab my knee.
 
Biggest kid in our gym only does high rep iso... not like I can advocate that but looks like it can work, he has brutal acne too so go figure what he is on if that (not a good scheme) works out for him...
