There is no such thing as a “$ value of Bitcoin”. It is an exchange, meaning it is worth what you can buy or sell it for. Who you exchange with, when, and on what platform, determines the price.

Most of the time these three variables don’t amount to much. But in some circumstances it could result in an exchange that is a few percent different.

There’s also other stuff like the buy/sell spread that can make establishing an actual Bitcoin to USD exchange rate difficult.

Asking for a BTC value removes these variables and makes it simpler for everyone.

I usually just send extra to make up for the fluctuation in bitcoin every time too. That way your never short. And if your already spending over 200 whats another 5-10 bucks

I'm assuming they found someone willing to produce tablets in the US.
