Same, but more so throughout the year. When we lived in Siberia (before the Soviet Union fell) and Ukraine (after), my parents would make galubtsi and vareniki at least once a week. Olivier was definitely a Christmas thing. Not this year since my parents are leaving for a cruise tomorrow to the Caribbean (assholes), but the Orthodox Christmas is coming up in a few weeks so we’ll have a do-over.
