I read something on TG yesterday about this. Someone claimed they could deny you entry into the Global Entry program. I’m not sure if it’s true but it got me to thinking…It's part of the "traveller risk" scoring system they use to determine whether to choose you for closer examination when returning to the US from international travel.
It has no "criminal" consequences because anyone can order anything to be sent to an enemy. There's no evidence it was you.
But it's still taken into account by their automated systems. Over time it'll fade and not be a factor anymore.
So cancel those plans you had to smuggle a kilo of coke back from your vacation to Columbia.
