End welfare and we have Americans back to work.
To what degree do you think that Americans on welfare are more of a burden to society than Americans that have no other means of subsistence? Surely some will figure something out, but there will always be a subset of the population that lack the ability to generate enough economic activity to support themselves. There are likely many reasons for this, not least of which is the fact that 10% of Americans have an IQ of 80 or lower. They're not even competent enough that the military is willing to put them to use. What do you propose happens to those folks?
Undoubtedly the US needs a thorough reform in immigration. We should be attracting professionals that we need and that would be it. Canada and Australia do that. If we need doctors, import doctors. If we need nurses, import nurses. Etc etc. The way things are today, you either get people at the very top of the food chain or at the very bottom.
You imagine there's a switch someone can flip somewhere that says, "bring me more doctors, more nurses."? That's not how these things work. People with that set of qualifications would need an incentive to immigrate.
For those complaining about illegal immigrants that represent a supply of cheap labor for jobs that would otherwise go unfilled, I"m wondering what net economic impact you would expect if that flow of cheap labor was cut off?
Food, certainly becomes more expensive. Home construction and renovation becomes more expensive. Presumably, the supply of housing diminishes driving up prices and the American dream becomes further out of reach for the working class. With shelter and food being the primary contributors to the cost of living for the working class in the US, I'm sure everything will be fine.
So yeah, kick them fuckers out!
