COVID, CANCER, bla bla bla... not specific to BB community, just general human pathologies..Not to launch a tangent, but I've been surprised to see ivermectin talked about so much. Do we...get an unusually high number of parasites in BB?
I'm afraid to even bring this up because I know this drug got real political and I am 100000000% uninterested in getting into politics or seeing Joe Rogan clips. Just curious what it's being used for, medically speaking.

Potential Carcinogen Found in 6 Popular Acne Products, Prompting Recall: FDA
The products contain benzoyl peroxide, which can produce the carcinogen benzene under certain conditions.people.com
You need to add the disclaimer.TLDR:
1. Americans have a 10% lifetime risk of an Ivermectin responsive parasitic infection, rising to ~50% if you travel to Asia/Africa/South America. 75% of those are asymptomatic so go undetected, and it's not uncommon for them to persist for 30+ years. This places a load on the immune system, raises inflammation, etc. A single dose clears most of these.
2. It can be used to improve skin condition by eliminating demodex mites, which nearly every adult is colonized with.
3. Ivermectin is, for almost everyone, harmless. In hot climates where parasites are a major problem, infants through the elderly are given annual preventative doses. Until a few years ago, it was given to every school aged child in Japan annually.

Fucking lol. It’s so simple to make low variance tablets as wellBottle Full of Lies is great book BTW.
My point was that anecdotes don't really tell us much. The rate of fake drugs in India is well below 1%. Rate of contaminated US made drugs is well below 1%. Most US generic drugs come from India, and are fine.
All of this is pretty ironic in a forum for consumers of UGL....

You raise a solid point. But to be fair we would be hard pressed to analyze UG gear like the rigorous testing pharma goes through. I dont know. Sounds reasonable though. The only component I initially raised concerns around that I have no line of sight on is residual solvents. At least we can take solace that none of our gear has ever been contaminated with carcinogens, unlike all those FDA regulated pharmaceuticals found every year...
Right? Right???
lol
That's gonna cost some $$$$.Shhhh, you're giving @readalot ideas for his next crusade
